HELP I have had my account hacked to the tune of £3400, i have checked the ip addresses of the hackers which appear to come fro Indonesia/Brazil and The Netherlands. Basically they have used my money to lay/back bets on football last night. I have reported this to betfair security via email and have spoken to customer support. Has anyone experienced this or can anyone advise the chances of getting my money back.

Hopefully, betfair will recognise that you could not have been all around the world at once, see sense, and make good the shortfall. But if they don't, make sure you get an answer to the question of the identity of the counterparty to your bets. The scam only makes sense if your money has gone to the scammers. You won't be told the name and address of the beneficiary but you are entitled to ask: Is it one account, how long has it been going and what is its trading record?

Cheers unitedbiscuits will keep you informed, my son said they could have been using some kind of software that bounces ip addresses about??
a good encryption tool is -lastpass,you have a master password,browsers-chrome firefox etc
