It's clear he f ucked up - why has the club got to pay out money for this inbred nonce.... surely he should be sacked on gross misconduct charges - he shouldnt get a brass wazoo.

I think you'll find - from my number of posts since 2002 - that I'm not. But our friends in Govan really are the gift that keeps on giving.

An apt remark from the man who dismissed a 5-1 drubbing from Celtic by saying that there was Man City beating Celtic to look forward to......

FFs coming on a thread about Barton to try and score a point.  Laugh
And you and yer like continually bringing up the same chyte for 4+ years hardly equates the gift that keeps on giving. Laugh

Give tens of thousands to a no-mark like Barton whilst stiffing the small businesses who have supported you - you are still the same organisation after all, aren't you? Shame on the decision makers.

Why pay him off as soon he will be found guilty of Scottish FA rules in betting on football and with it a ban from playing and thus in breach of his contract with Rangers
Report akabula October 9, 2016 7:42 PM BST
The pay-off talk is pure speculation as Rangers have said nothing other than to confirm the extension to his suspension.
If as has been suggested he refused to apologise for his outburst at MW Rangers will have enough to sack him without recompense.
But like I said previously I'd guess they might come to some agreement rather than face a court battle.

What has Barton actually done wrong?

He has until tomorrow to respond to the betting charges. The hearing is on the 27th. If he was betting on foreign leagues in which he does not play then the SFA may be on very shaky ground with their blanket no betting on football rule.

The Rangers suspension is a strange thing. He had a go at some team mates after they were spanked and he upset them. Boo hoo. If you think that is unusual then you really do need to get out more.

One thing is for sure if Rangers could sack him without compensation they would have by now. My guess is they would lose any legal action Barton took to get compensation. They are hoping the SFA will do their dirty work.

He wasn't suspended for the altercation with other players.
He was suspended for undermining the manager in front of the rest of the team.

Report Geesyerdosh October 11, 2016 6:43 PM BST
Apparently Barton was only saying to Warburton what the players were talking between themselves about his defensive drills although in a bang out of order manner. I'm guessing Rangers are spinning this out hoping Barton will be unable to keep his mouth shut. I'm also guessing Barton's the type to dig his heels in to get every penny of his contract.
Report akabula October 11, 2016 6:46 PM BST
I doubt that Stew. Look at how Deila handled the Commons situation. Most felt he was too weak.
