Klopp said within 3 years he will win the league, this is the second and with the signings, the players the got rid of it and the style of football, then next season especially if they get Champions League football to attract even higher quality players, you can see them running close, not this season though.

By:
of course they can,their big problem is obviously their defence but look at all the contenders and they have the same problem

By:
blow hot and cold..were flattered by y'day's win..total brainfade by the bellend defender
but if Citeh slip up must have as good a chance as the other purported 'contenders' |

Klopp has them playing well at the moment. I think they're still a few players short of being title contenders.

|
By:
Win, lose or draw on monday..I think that liverpool will still have that 27 year old monkey on their back of not winning the league....
It must be debilitating for them. |

@OP...
NO, because if Arsenal get Wilshere back in January then they have a fantastic chance! |

Once the pass back rule was outlawed and 2 points for a win change to 3, Liverpool's league titles dried up.
Football before the 90's was full of pub British players on horrific surfaces with players who's diet consisted of drink before and after the game, the Arsenal players used to turn up to training pissed. It became much harder to win league titles when the league became more international rather than just have all of the top British players gravitate to one club considering that one club was a) likely to win the league meaning b) the only club eligible to play in the European cup, more places for English clubs opened up the competition so it's not overly surprising Liverpool have never repeated their dominance. Same with the Champions League, nobody has ever dominated it since it's inception in 92, never been won back to back not by the Milan's of the 90's, the Galatico's, the treble winning 99 team or the tika taka side of Barca, which in itself it devalues the European Cup wins prior to 92 as upon reflection, were much easier tournaments to win by today's standards, now you have to play 4-5 more games more against international teams not just the pub champions of Sweden and Bulgaria. Football might as well have only existed post 92, it was almost amatuer before that. |
