I think that we may have a surprise winner this time. I have narrowed it down to Costa Rica, Ghana, Ivory Coast and Argentina. Any thoughts folks?

South Americans have a poor record in WC in Europe and Africans and Asians are pish at football. So the only surprise winner, if there is one, can only come from Europe. Maybe England

England if they dont get a group that involves going all over the place could have a squeak, but we all know Big Sam will play most of the squad that blew out at the Euros, but I feel home advantage will play a massive part. It seems to me that FIFA want a few surprise teams to qualify, so I would concur with Shlotter that possible a new winner might be on the trophy.

I think Uncle Vlad will be all nicely nicely to everyone this tournament and soon as the merest hint of bovver, the red army will come out to quell troublemakers. Then July 16th, the yanks will roll in somewhere else...
