Because the haven't strengthened in the most difficult league in the world
It will go like this
Get to the last 16 of the Champions League this season at a push
Fall out of the top 4 by the end of the season
Their best players with a taste of the creme de la creme will then want out and will be picked off by Europe's top clubs (either next season or the season after), I'm talking about Lloris, Alderwierld, Dele, Eriksen and Kane, then they wont be able to attract any top players at all and will be back to where they started a few years ago. Hoping for an young prodigy kid like Bale to catalyse them back to where they are now.
They should have got rid of Lame Ella, Son, Chadli and Mason and brought in top quality, instead they bought a fairly ordinary player from Southampton and another player with a good goal scoring record in the goal crazy Eredivisie
Yet they've stood still whilst Chelsea, City, Liverpool and United have all got stronger with better players and managers. As for Arsenal, no matter how bad we are we'll still finish above them as last year showed.
Enjoy the Champions League this season, it'll be your last for a long while, a good decade at least.

I totally agree but at least Arsenal will never win the Premier League while Wenger is in charge. That amuses me no end. Let's hope he extends his contract at the end of season. Another top 4 and exit at the last 16 of the CL for you I suspect.
