I don't particularly like him, but to be fair, I think he's giving the money to charity.

That will all go to Claire House and Alder Hey.
Do not worry about that.
I would be surprised if any player did as much as him and his wife in that line.
Doesn't need or look for credit but fairs fair....and  I am a Liverpool fan if that means anything.

I imagine Coleen calls the shots when it comes to the charity work. Sure Wayne would rather spend the money on loose women.

Two stupid comments - one from the OP and one from O..P........

Time for the mancs to show their appreciation to a great player and give some money to great causes to boot.

'testimonials' were for about to retire players so they could get one final pay day was it not. i know it's for charity but he could have just gave them the money himself out of his own vast pocket

I'm sure he gives plenty to charity and will do a lot more through his recently formed Foundation

Thought it was going to be Wayne Rooney's testimonial but turned out to be a tribute for Louis Van Gaal

Aren't football testimonials supposed to finish 4-4; not a drab 0-0?!  Great value for money!LaughLaugh
