Terrible, a rancid tournament from day one and I can't wait to see the back of it. I found it amazing how so many players couldn't even do the basics, and did the players care, did they fck. A poor tourney filled with ultra negative shitt, played on shocking surfaces, but all the fans had a whale of a time.

And get this, some of the losers going home returned to a heroes welcome. No wonder football is fcked. Many football fans seem to lap up mediocrity, the game is about winning, not, not losing.

I have lost faith in football, it really is awful to watch. So many rich people in the game for doing next to nothing.

Very good post from MC Roller and much of it spot-on - it was generally poor.

On a personal level, I've done okay in this tourney thanks to some correct scores and one or two doubles.

Done well first 5 days or so, horrific after that up until the last QF where I went on France quite heavy -1 and -2 and profit on both semis. Still a loss on the tourney of about £300ish

MC Roller - good points and agree about most games - and this will run into the EPL season too ,but could you not have profited on that all the same  ? !

I could have but I let the boring games get to me, and poor, stupid bets followed. You know what happens once emotion is involved. I should have stopped betting on it, so no complaints really, no one else to blame. I'll just have to work harder at keeping those emotions in check. Generally my discipline is good until the football comes on. It's adapt or go skint.

Brilliant for me, from a betting perspective. Almost every instinct or gut feeling has been confirmed. I have never enjoyed watching France all tournament, but I've always had the feeling they would go all the way to the final, despite looking distinctly unimpressive. Same with Portugal, once the draw opened up for them. Never fancied Belgium or Croatia, so picking the finalists has been a pretty intuitive exercise. All the profit I thought I would make on the referendum (but didn't) I'll make on the Euros, and more. From a football perspective it has been the worse tournament I can remember, and the 2 finalists will be the worst ever (maybe even including Greece) I think we've reached the saturation point as far as the money goes. If this is supposed to be the zenith of European football, then it really is time for a major shake-up. Can't believe the money being touted for Pogba, who at best, is a potential poor man's Patrick Viera, and at worst the new Carlton Palmer. It is a crazy world and it's not getting any better!

standard of individuals is no worse than previously imo, just defensive organisation of lesser teams has improved to the detriment of the game as a spectacle (Argentina and Holland showed the way with their 8-man defences in last WC)...not a good tournament to watch

+ 1k for me. It became quite evident early on that overs was a high risk investment due to the set up of the tournament. Also, a lot of the better players looked knackered, very little time off before their last club games and I expect that to carry on in to the start of their leagues, after getting ****d round the globe for their clubs pre-season cash printing friendlies.
