That's the thing, young players are enthusiastic. Same for Rooney, when he started off his international career. Downhill ever since.

Will the F.A, finally realise that this fiasco and its like stem from the coaching of kids? Iceland's are coached by UEFA qualified coaches.

Iceland have one UEFA 'B' qualified coach for every 500 people.

England have one for every 10,000.

Not one of the England players plays abroad.  They are happy with £100k+ a week playing in "the best league in the world".
They wouldn't get a game in Germany, Spain, Italy unless they are selling shirts.
Any England players snapped up for big money to play in China?

And the England manager selects his team by putting in at least  representative of each of the top clubs, Man Utd, Man City, Arsenal, Liverpool, Spurs.

Spot on.  If a kid's birthday is in January he has a year advantage on a kid born in December.  The smaller kid never gets a game all the way through the under-age years.

Don't know if it's been said, but that speech Hodgson gave, very strange, it was all down on paper and struck me as having had to have been pre written, what sort of mindset is that.

Also, Neville couldn't even find the gumption to get out there in front of the cameras and left it to a poor sorry looking doddery old fool to speak for him, how he has fallen in the past 12 months from being king of the sky gadgets to a failed manager and failed coach.

The problem with the England team is that the players  have all the power. We need a manager who will make all the players sit up and listen. Someone who will frighten the players and can get them to play to the maximum. Whether such a manager exists is another matter.

It all started in 1966 with Jimmy Greaves, since then: Duncan McKenzie, Tony Currie, Stan Bowles, Matt le Tissier, Vinnie Jones, Alan Hudson, Rodney Marsh, Peter Osgood, Denis Mortimer, Billy Bonds etc etc etc. Artists and Warriors. Most of them decades ago admittedly but the FA and their coaches have systematically bred talent out of native footballers.
