Garry Monk@GarryMonk ...Awful decision for Leeds to sack Neil Redfearn. A great bloke and coach. No manager worth his salt will work for that crook in charge there.

At last a decent appointment. I rate this lad and I'm sure he will get them playing and bring some decent players in which we are sadly lacking.

Filthy club. Should be booted out of the league for being, well, filth.

I would advise Garry to visit a lettings agent that specialises in short term tenancies, and definitely not bother looking at properties to buy in the area.

Very strange for Monk to take the job. As polab says he'll be given no time at all to make an impression.

Why Villa didn't approach him is bizarre..

I thought Monk would have had more sense..a few months then the sack  is not going to do a young managers cv any good.

I guess he took the job because no one else has come in for him. The leeds job will hardly damage his reputation and if it doesnt go well he will be out in no time with a pay off. If things go well he will be in a position to attract the attention of others.

Garry Monk fine young manager will enhance his rep with Leeds providing he's given time(at least one season) hope he's got a good contract and what's to lose everything to gain. Good luck to him should be an exciting Championship next year Leeds,Derby,Norwich,Villa and of course Newcastle United Happy

Most clubs in the premiership would die for the gates that Leeds get and that's when they are struggling. We were on tv more times than some so called big clubs in the premiership. If the new manager does well he will be blown away by the support. Welcome to a big club Gary.

Leeds get about 15-20k per match match don't they? Derby County gets the biggest attendances in the league usually.

Leeds to a reality check over this big club nonsense, especially as there is now a real big club down there and another relatively big club in Newcastle.

Average gate 22500 last season with highest gate at 29500 approx. Only behind Brighton Boro Derby and Sheff Wed. They were all going for promotion whilst we were languishing in the league for most of the season. Also the fact that we were on Sky every other week and the effect that this would have on numbers. Can't think of many clubs that were in division 1 going to Man u and knocking them out of the FA Cup. Our away fans have probably kept some of these championship clubs in business as we bring that many. Huge club and we'll be back where we belong soon. MOT

You don't have to worry about being on Sky anymore...as for big aways LOL wait until you see Villa's.

Leeds have found there place as an established mid-table club and can't even play the big club card anymore.

What are you on about. Leeds were never off sky last season with the owner even telling sky to get lost as it was harming ticket sales. No doubt we will be fully booked up again next season. Why, because we are a big club.
