Wes, this doesn't mean delusion or belief in Wenger as you well know, it means the competition is fairly weak and we are the strongest, it's hardly a vintage year so not far fetched. Call it. |

I can't see AFC putting any kind of run together now under Wenger especially as he now seems to be a dead man walking.

Leicester were the bet from 5000/1 all the way down to evens. Think it is now a shoot out between Leicester and Spurs. Spurs are only 2 points behind and with a better goal difference. If Leicester slip up Spurs can win the League.

spurs will definitely win. leicester will start choking now they are finally clear favourites, starting tomorrow when the toon army turn them over. palace will perform the last rites on their challenge.

i think leicester or spurs. Leicester will either win it with points/games to spare or will bottle it and spurs will take it. i think the former at the moment. They are unlucky that rafa is in charge at newc as that makes it look a lot harder to win on paper at least. Fergie thinks they'll win it with 3 games to spare.
Reckon Arsenal will lose at Everton and I might back Everton. They have only 2 full days rest after the barca game which puts them at a serious disadvantage and is totally unfair. Contrast with City who play Kiev at home on Tuesday and get a sunday 4pm slot. Arsenal have to travel Weds night/thurs morning and the PL make them play at 1245 on sat. It was the same when they were hosed 6-3 at city a few years ago. Will prob pick up another injury or two at barca as well. The loss of Cech is a major factor too, the whole defence suffers from that, never mind the injuries. |

if the everton game was on sunday i'd give arsenal a better chance but still wouldn't see them winning. they are in abysmal form and confidence is as low as it has been for years. Giroud and Sanchez are as bad as i've ever seen them, Ramsey awful too. I don't see BOTH leicester dropping 5 points more than arsenal and spurs dropping 3 more. i'd be surprised if spurs drop more points than arsenal between now and the end of the season. I don't see any basis for arsenal making up that ground Mes or spurs not having as much mettle as arsenal, I don't know what you are basing that on.

i'd say fergie is of that opinion because he sees spurs dropping points v pool, man u stoke who they have to play in the next 4 games, whereas leicester's next 4 all look winnable. people are looking at their last 3 which look tough but they could be 10 clear by then if results go their way. please Jah not spurs.

More chance of Arsenal missing a top 4 place than winning the League on their current form, throw in low moral and injuries and it looks like Arsene will be looking over his shoulder to maintain his impressive CL qualification record.

The first chance Tottenham had to top the league this stage of the season in decades and they wilted, lost at West Ham, drew against 10 men Arsenal at home. And you're all forgetting one vital ingredient, Arsenal still have Jack Wilshere to come back.

No wonder people think you are on the wind up. It will come down to mental strength , and so the winner will be ..... Arsenal If that was the biggest factor in football Arsenal would have been relegated by now. Souness is not a great pundit usually but he made the point that , every time Arsenal manage a late winner (not often) , and before every big game , Wenger bangs on about 'our strong mentality' . As Souness said , if you have a strong mentality then you never need to talk about it or point it out .It is a 'show, don't tell' thing . People know you have it because they see . If people need it pointing out then it is because it isn't there. |

Sir Alex Ferguson knows English football like the back of his hand and you have to take notice when he says Leicester will win the league with 3 games to spare. My detailed statistical analysis from 1 month ago agrees with this, where my calculations found Leicester City winning the league by 8 points.

http://www.espnfc.com/barclays-premier-league/story/2828502/leicester-to-win-title-with-3-games-to-spare-alex-ferguson
Former Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson is convinced that Leicester City will win the Premier League this season. Leicester, who came close to relegation last campaign, are the surprise leaders of the Premier League with the club currently five points clear of second-placed Tottenham with nine matches to play. Ferguson lifted 13 league titles during his 26 years in charge at Old Trafford, and the Scot, who retired from management in 2013, has been impressed with Claudio Ranieri's Foxes. Asked whether Leicester can sustain their form and claim glory, Ferguson replied in The Sunday Times: "Of course they can. I believe they will win it with three games to spare." Ferguson added that he thinks Leicester midfielder N'Golo Kante has been the division's best player "by a long way" and he also reserved praise for the club's assistant manager and head of recruitment, Steve Walsh, describing him as "the most influential person in the Premier League." Leicester are next in action on Monday night when they host Newcastle United, in Rafa Benitez's first game in charge of the struggling club following his appointment on Friday. |

Leicester will win the EPL
Arsenal are a bunch of soft **** who always promise but never deliver. Tottenham will return home knackered after an unsuccessful trip to Germany on Friday and I wouldnt be surprised if Bournemouth beat them at the weekend. Leicester will beat Crystal Palace and therefore will be 8 points clear... Games remaining for Spurs and Arsenal are just as hard as Leicesters..... |

Arsenal are a bunch of pansies.

No preference or opinion except that it will be good for football if Leicester hold on. For a long time we have been told and believed that no one outside the top 4 or 5 have the financial muscle to win the premiership. To have this proved wrong will be a joy

Wish I shared your optimism LR, our players minds appear to be focused on FA Cup games only at the moment, could be that a draw is the most likely result as both teams prefer to counter attack, which could result in a lot of negative play, with the ball going from keeper to keeper or being knocked around without conviction in the midfield, am more than happy to be proved totally wrong though...!

couldn't believe how ordinary leicester looked when I saw them the other night
technically speaking they are very ordinary. they would be light years behind a team like city in that respect. but they are grinding out results. they have two exceptional players in mahrez and vardy who always look dangerous when they are on the ball. They also run around at a furious pace pressing the ball which makes up for any lack of technical skill. this gives the opposition very little time to breathe when they have the ball and makes them hard to break down. I imagine they will probably go down as one of the worst teams to every win englands top league, if they do get over the line, but I doubt their supporters or the team will care much. |
