Only watching, not had a bet. Both teams still in pre-season mode, so not sure what to expect from these teams yet. Would normally expect a few goals (two or three), but the strikers may be a bit rusty. Grin

On over 0.5 goals! gl

Could do with a bit more goalmouth action. A lot of huff and puff, but effectively no better at creating chances than, say, Manchester United. Silly

come on the beep!

You get a beep? I get a ping. Wink

Third time that Suwon player went close. First two shots were off-target, this one hit the post. I expect the next one to end up in the back of the net. Grin

Need this beep/ping before half time please!!

No such luck. Plain

Can't say I'm surprised, but given all the effort they put into this, you'd expect a better result. Not necessarily goals, but some decent openings and such would go a long way.

can you see a goal coming in the second half?

I'm no soothsayer, but if I had to hazard a guess I would think that if we see one goal, we will also see another (provided the first comes before the 70th minute). I'd be more inclined to back Over 1.5 Goals for a smaller stake now than back the one goal at current odds full stake, if I had to have a bet right now. But I think I'll wait until that first goal comes. No harm in not betting if it doesn't feel right, after all. []

Just noticed Guangzhou are on in a few minutes. Maybe look toward that game for a goal or two? Pohang are no mugs, but the home team should be capable of creating better/more chances than what these teams have come up with so far.

Should've been a *ping* for Gamba there. Gotta hit the target from there, even under pressure from defenders. Plain

This lack of goals or even chances is bothering me. Not sure it's a good idea to start this competition already when most (all?) teams involved haven't even played any league games yet. Even Guangzhou look very ordinary. Jackson Martínez looks as hopeless as Oliver Giroud... Devil

Gonna make myself something to drink. When I get back, I fully expect there to have been at least one beep/ping...

* Olivier Giroud, of course. Blush

Got my tea and biscuits, but still no goals. Well, one, but nobody cares about Urawa or Sydney. Grin

Pff. I'm not losing any money on this, but football's usually not much fun without the goals.

Hope I'm wrong, but I can't imagine there'll be a goalfest in any of tonight's European Champions League games. What a boring day. PlainSadCry

Think people suddenly thought South Korean and Japan football was good because they hosted a World Cup.

That World Cup was an absolute stinker and so is the football played in both of those leagues.

Compared to the rest of Asia, South Korean and Japanese games are generally decent to watch. It's not La Liga, but then neither is the Premier League.

Not sure how you can say Asian footy is gash, though, then say you'll be getting involved in Scottish football. Crazy

Need 2 second half goals in Guangzhou!!

Don't think that's gonna happen unless Pohang score as well, and even then I wouldn't put it past Guangzhou to draw a blank.

But hey, maybe I jinxed it for you. *sigh*

With goalkeeping like that (Al Hilal), there's never going to be a shortage of goals. Sheesh.

All to their own.

Never really bothered with Asian Football for 2 reasons.

1.The time of matches don't suit the UK working man.
2. It is boring.

Hibs FC need a win tonight mate.

Time difference is a problem, definitely. I usually don't get to watch the earlier kick-offs in Japan, but if two teams who play a style of football I enjoy watching are playing each other, I don't mind getting up a bit early for those games. South Korean football is a bit more difficult to follow, but anything is better than watching advertisement shows or indoctrination programs on 'regular' television. I'd even watch Scottish football, if there was nothing else on. (Have a bit of a soft spot for Hamilton Academics and Inverness CT, although I haven't a clue why.)

Switched to PSV U19/AS Roma U19. Maybe the youngsters know what the aim of the game is. Wink

That was last chance for a goal and Pohang screwed it up big time.

You've got Jackson Martinez free in the middle, so what do you do? Pass it some doof who's standing offside! FFS

PSV U19 1 - 0 AS Roma U19

Took 'em less than 15 minutes.
