PSG beating up on europa teams at best in Ligue 1
Looked pretty average in Marseilles couple of weeks ago
The midfield is workmanlike at best, matuidi, verrati and motta
Ibra is of course world class but can be stopped. Moura is good but not top class and Di Maria is a poor mans jamie vardy
Squad in turmoil after some homophobic outburst from a player over the weekend. Larry Blanc decided to wash his linen in public over that one.
not exactly a leaf from the book of fergus/jose pre match psychology
Chelsea may not be great but the form with these is interim managers of theirs is in the book
Final under Avram
SF with Guus I (last minute goal by iniesta)
Won with RdM
Europa with Rafa.
Win at Arsenal suggests the fundamental dna of chelsea remains
2nd leg at the Bridge
Ultimately PSG do not represent the threat that Barca, Real or Bayern offer
They are a solid functional organised outfit reliant on a world class center forward who has never won this competition
Chels to qualify for meWink

I'd be wore inclined to back PSG to qualify. First leg might be cagey, but over two legs the best team should prevail, at almost the same price.

Di Maria is a poor mans jamie vardy

They have a completely different style of play. Its like saying Michael Owen was a poor mans George Best

Im sure Chelsea will just park the bus but with Zouma and Terry out easy PSG win for me

I will give you a reason why PSG may not win.
they play like man united play, across the park and are boring.
their motto is don't lose .so 0=0 is a big possible.Sad

Perhaps, its psg owners dream/ambition to win champions league so that adds pressure etc
Shirley they be going all out to derail a wobbly chelsea, expose mikel or ivanovic as centre half ?

Think PSG will win 2nite, Chelsea defence will be makeshift with 2 of their main central's out

Chelsea play best when a team attack them,i am sure PSG know all about Chelsea,s blistering pace at counterattacking.
This coupled with the fact that the importance of not conceding at home argues well for a tight game.
its not a game to get involved with for big stakes in my opinion.but good luck to all who have a bet.

Chelsea looking a very good side at the moment , would be fvs to win title if it was august .

PSG a masterclass romping away with ligue One (which isn't great but still a decent league )  ,but i think Chelsea worth a gamble at 2.6 ,i was thinking more 2.4 maybe ?

Chelsea have to play for this trophy - totally no distractions from the EPL   as in previous encounter ,but then PSG have already won title so none for them too.

Will be interesting

Psg clean sheet No......Away goals important in these games, and fancy Chelsea to take one of the chances that are sure to come their way, Willian also a threat on free kicks also. I'm also tempted to back Chelsea here considering the odds, as Psg looked average against Real Madrid on both games, also sure Real Madrid were missing quite a few players at the time. Good luck with your bets

What utter b0llocks.

Drawn 4 and won 2 of last 6. Wins coming against Newcastle who are certs to go down and Arsenal who were down to 10men after 20mins. Only avoided defeat at home to a dreadful United team with an injury time equaliser.

yep the improvement in chelsea has been greatly exaggerated. better than the first few months of the season but could hardly be worse. still nowhere close to the level they played the first half of last season

thought 1.7 psg was outstanding price also thought they were a bet with terry and zouma in the team now both out its a nap bet with me baba cant defend and with ivanovic playing centre half psg look a great bet also having 2-0 3-0 3-1 score

Zazu - they would still be favourites  Wink   they have rekindled the team spirit that was missing under TSO

i would say since the Everton game at home they have looked a totally different side .More spirit  esp from Costa who was letting them down the most .

They drew at Watford , Beat Arsenal and thrashed the Franchise and N'castle . The Man Utd result  was  standard ,Man Utd themselves looking a much better team .

Yes faves for me -  although only just

it's nearly all about team spirit  - the human mind is a funny place ,most footballers probably have some sort of savant  autismn -so they need to be handled  carefully

All-time great soccer player Lionel Messi was diagnosed with Aspergers at age 8

Messi is autistic. He was diagnosed at 8 years old, still in Argentina, with Asperger's Syndrome, known as a mild form of autism. Although the diagnosis of athlete has been little publicized and questioned, as a way to protect him, the fact is that their behavior on and off the field are revealing.
Having Asperger's is not no demerits [ed: I believe that this is actually saying "is not a demerit. Stupid Google Translate]. People [who have Asperger's] are generally male, having difficulties in socialization, interests and repetitive motor acts very strange. Popularly, the syndrome is known as a factory geniuses. It is the case of Messi.
It is possible to identify, by experience, such as autism reveals itself in his behavior on the field - the teamwork, the dribbling, the movement, the chute [maybe a mistranslation, intended to be "shot"]." Autistics are always looking to adopt a pattern and repeat it thoroughly," says Nilton Vitulli , father of an Asperger's syndrome [child] and an active member of the NGO Autism and Reality and social networking Citizen Health, which includes parents and family members of "aspergianos." [Spanish and/or Portuguese for "aspie']
"Messi always makes the same movements: almost always falls on the right, dribbles the same way and often makes that goal Cavadinha [a method of penalty kicks used by Messi], typical of him," says Vitulli , who played football and almost became a professional. He explains that, thanks to the phenomenal memory that autistics have, Messi should probably know all the moves that can occur, for example, the time to complete a goal. "It's as if he foresaw the movements of the goalkeeper. He just repeats a familiar pattern. When he enters the area, you know that [he] will make [score, probably] the goal. And celebrating with that smile typical autistic, who fulfilled his mission and is relieved."

Surely this is an excellent under 2.5 game - neither side particularly offensive in strategy in this tie IMO.

Even a goal may not make the sides open up in style too much, so decent unders trade for me.
