They were shorter before too in the 1.55 range.
So the market agrees, and is moving them out, but I agree still too short on all known form. They are rated as City a considerably stronger side than Leicester - but Leicester are 3 points higher after a decent enough sample of games this season to judge it. City also have worse injury problems. So, yes, City have to be a lay at this price and anything up to about 1.9 IMO. |

Should say, City meaning Man City above of course.

I'd price Man City about 2.0 personally for this game! So 1.65 etc looks crazy.
They were limp against Sunderland and got dominated by a side in relegation, most recent match! |

75% home wins isn't that impressive is it, for a side like Man City? - and they lost 2.
Leicester have only lost 1 away in addition. Factor in players are missing from those Man City games. |
|
By:
West Ham, Liverpool, Everton
The three sides who stopped City winning home matches, just out of interest. |
|
By:
Hammers and Liverpool beating them
|
|
By:
Liverpool game was a complete fluke as liverpool have not performed anywhere near it since, west ham was a smash and grab 27 shots v 6. Not saying city's price is right btw.
should be 1.70 ish imo. |

Injuries huge for going against Man City though - losing players like Kompany massive for them. Their stats reflect him playing earlier in the season, and others who are now out.
|
|
By:
In the fixture at Leicester (0-0) City had 21 shots (5 on target, 7 blocked, 9 off target), Kompany was missing for the match as with this one. Obviously City had more possession which I'd expect to be no different today and with Aguero back to form (he was taken off after an hour in the away fixture) if they take the chances they should win this comfortably imho

Interesting stat - Navas also missing today.
Games with him: 76% wins Games without him: 50% wins Maybe big a miss as Kompany. |
|
By:
Navas is crap, dont care what the stats say.
themover, you sure about a comfortable win ? That means you are on -1.5 ? |
|
By:
Man City favs to win league. Leicester currently third favourites. Record of 1st v 3rd in last 20 years of Premier League = HW 13 (8/15) D 3 AW 4. (4/1).

dont care what the stats say. nah, goals and results don't matter then, lol

Vorskla - what are the stats for 1st placed in the table v 2nd placed?

If this was a bigger named club sitting 3 points above City (e.g. the Arsenal, Chels, Liverpool etc) Man City would have been trading about 2.0 to win this match, which is where they should be.
Historical bias counts against Leicester in the pricing for sure, but there's no solid reason for the price. Course the home side are the most likely result, but can't dispute the above? |
|
By:
actually, they'd probably be more like 2.2 thinking about it

Was needed in this case as you took my words totally out of context, are you a journalist ?

The best way to calculate odds is do an average of the neighbouring places. For 1v3, I would work out an average percentage for 1v2, 1v3, 1v4 and 2v3. HW 54/80 (67.5% or 1/2), D 14/80 (17.5% or 9/2 ish) AW 12/80 (15% or 11/2 ish).
But to answer your question, 1v2 is surprisingly HW 11 D 7 AW 2. |

good stuff Vorskla

Thanks Vorska, nearer where I'd placed it then for that stat.

Stop being so delicate, ffs. If you don't want a silly reply don't make silly statements. |
|
By:
Of course the games, and results he played in are relevant to this.
|
|
By:
many would argue that :
Aguero Sterling Toure Silva is better than Aguero Sterling Toure Navas if that is what Pellegrini selects |
|
By:
Anyway, all the focus on the Home side coin, but the other is the away side (and stats).
The prices are ignoring those too. |
|
By:
Would be interesting to see navas win % and start % against decent teams, especially after august.
|
|
By:
It's only one stat I know, just added to others against their pricing.
|

Yaya to score at 11/4 has a nice ring to it (especially if he plays in the hole behind King Kun)

Must be just me (and themover, obvz) who thinks that 1.65 is a perfectly decent price on City. Not like Leicester are going to have much of the ball and Aguero up against Wes Morgan...
