Bargain of the season - worth 10-15
By:
That is theft!
By:
the man has no tendons in his knee he is shot
By:
If something looks too good to be true....
By:
Erm...he was free in the summer.
So it's 4 million for 4-5months |
By:
They knew his contract was up in the summer zazu - last summer when they could easily have flogged him for at least 3 times the figure.
By:
Cracking signing. How did Toon miss out on him. would have fit them perfect.
The likes of Villa should have been bending over themselves to get him |
By:
Funnily enough, CCM, that's what I've been told today.
Unable to insure him, hence the price. But, fair play to Saints. Chance well worth taking, IMO. Good luck to the lad. |
By:
How many goals has he scored for QPR this season ?
By:
10.
Why? |
By:
I genuinely did not know, was curious.
By:
From 16 Games
By:
Hence the question mark.
By:
Bought him for 4 mill sold him for 4 mill
Let the lad have a decent chance in the prem Nice lad and a fair player good luck to him and thanks.................... |
By:
Bargain
By:
Let's not jump the gun, Sonk.
I'll reserve my judgement until he plays against the top clubs. |
By:
Fair point.

Solano
![]() Apart from a barren spell at... Hungerford Town (5 in 30), Austin has been prolific. E.G. 45 in 82 at QPR. At Poole Town in the 08-09 season, the boy notched 48 in 42 ![]() |

TBF I would have took him at Arsenal and he cost **** all, shrewdy move imho
By:
to be fair if you were pool, utd, spurs etc and spent probably a billion on strikers between you over the last 2 or 3 seasons you,d make a right **** of yourself solving the problem out of the petty cash, someone somewhere might start thinking you havnt a fcuking clue what your doing, they,ve probably all the top clubs had a pact in blood not to touch him
By:
Tbf if reports are true he comes with risks attached, his knees (well documented) are a issue.I do not know if insurers were prepared to take a risk.
By:
Is Sturridge insured? Wilshere?
Can't see any of these clubs getting much a of a payout. |
By:
dont know ?
By:
good striker..hope his injuries don't prevent him fulfilling his potential
altho' unfortunately they probably will |
By:
didnt stop west ham selling the family and everyone elses silver buying carroll
By:
you dont need insurance for a 10 million player, ffs might as well buy an extended warranty when you buy a toaster .....
By:
chelsea have 30 odd players out on loan, all on wages most of which wont attract a penny in transfer fees dont think there,d be worried about insurance for one player
By:
have i got this right, hes finished, his tendons are phucked, that well maybe, but all he needs is his head and the last time i looked
it was still on his shoulders...... what a steal imo even if he never scores again. ![]() ![]() heres A LINK for the gutted toon fans that FCB couldnt afford the 4k. http://www.chroniclelive.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/newcastle-united-transfers-charlie-austin-10678335 |
