Surely this has  to be a nailed on draw.Neither team will have the appetite to beat each other..large bet on the 0-0 with a saver on a 1-1.

I actually thought that it would have been a good idea considering the circumstances that the game is being played in to throw out the England v france game and take the decision to mixed the teams up with English and French playing alongside each other...obviously I guess there'd be plenty of red tape and other issues that would be thrown up from it, but thought it would have been a nice touch and would certainly have raised the profile of the game even higher.

This game is pretty much a free pass for England/Woy to deliver another insipid turgid performance as befits a distinctly second tier international football side.

The post match analysis will all be about the symbolism of the fixture and the circumstances surrounding the match, which will provide a ready excuse for a lame performane. Eg, "the result wasn't the important thing tonight" etc etc.

It's probably true on this occasion, but if we suspend the emotion whilst we stake our bets, then a lay of England is an absolute certainty. They don't have the ability or the heart to beat France, who let's not forget, beat the World Champions only four days ago.

A boring 0-0 with everyone going through the motions would be worse than calling it off....can't think that's what people one, political or otherwise.

At least we know that with this game going ahead the FA will get to make a few million quid and that's all the matters.

Not getting the logic here...how does???

1. France team in possession of the ultimate driving encouragement, i.e. to honour their dead.

2. England team without the heart to give it a right good go.

3. France team being significantly better than England anyway.

add up to a bore draw???

Here's an interesting little bet with slybet
No cards, under 2.5 goals plus the woodwork being hit 11/2

I reckon the first two components are extremely likely bearing in mind what i anticipate being a very low key game therefore, the woodwork being struck is no 11/2 shot..going to throw a score at it anyway.

Danno is spot on.  Hodgson has already commented that this is "not a normal game", another lack lustre loss to a decent side will be forgotten given the circumstances.

ok  i know it seems unimaginable that a player could get sent off in this  game with everything that went on over the weekend    BUT just say someones clean thru with only goalie left and  gets dragged down, can the ref leave him on?. we know there will almost undoubtedly be  no harsh tackles but  the sending off is never allowed to trade at 1.04  1.05 and as i can see no  other tempting bet  I've had to lay 1.05 no for a monkey purely for an interest, one things for sure i couldn't imagine the aggro of being on the other side of that betLaugh for 90 mins.
