what are they smoking over there at the emirates?

Liverpool is just a stepping stone to a bigger club, he wont want to go without Champions League football for too long. Good call.

So he'll join the ultimate stepping stone?

Mes, I've heard that's part of the deal, unless Liverpool can gain champ league soccer next season, he can, leave

OH dear, lots of seething going on!!

How many trophies have Arsenal got in that cabinet for finishing 3rd/4th. I think Klopp recognises a team that when in it has a chance of winning the thin. Arsenal just make up the numbers like Steau Bucharest.

Actually, not true even they have won it Laugh

Yeah, I would imagine so dambuster, there's no way someone as shrewd as him wouldn't have had a release clause implemented into his contract, given he was the one with all the bargaining power.
Trouble is, Liverpool will find it hard to attract big players without CL football, so have to rely on the kind of level a player they're dealing now whilst trying to hold on to Coutinho, who looks to go the same way as Suarez and Sterling.

I personally don't believe he would leave to go to Arsenal.  Klopp prefers to take run down clubs and turn them around.  Arsenal as much as they dont win much they are still always top 4.  If Klopp got Liverpool into the top 4, there would be no point going to Arsenal.  Every club, every situation is different. But there is no denying Klopp has worked wonders at Mainz 05 and Dortmund.

Dortmund’s Spending Under Klopp:
Money spent: £130.13m
Money received: £84.89m
Net spend: £45.23m
Average per season: £6.46m

The owners of Liverpool and their moneyball system, will be drooling at that and what he achieved with such little money.

He may not get there but he's certainly got the first part of his remit correct. How long is it since Liverpool won the league? 40 years?

If Klopp does well at Liverpool (and I'd say Top 4 would be  success), there would be no point moving to Arsenal. He's already on £7 million a year and no doubt Liverpool would be prepared to increase this.

Good shout, let's face it, Klopp realistically had only had Bayern to get past who were going through mini transition at the time. There are at least 4 teams to get past over here.

love to see arsenals midfield try to press.....it simply would not be good enough.

we have many players who will be suited to a pressing game as proven last season.
this time we will be under a proper organiser.

arsenals whole ethos would change if klopp went there and that means shipping out the likes of ozil and other fancy dans.
you have to be tactically very aware and be able to close down with quality consistently.

thats alien to many pl sides especially arsenal
Report stridingedge October 14, 2015 11:08 AM BST
I think arsenals european pedigree may just swing it in their favour along with their title challenges compared to liverpool in the last decade.

Oh hang on a minute...
Report TheBetterBettor October 14, 2015 12:32 PM BST
Agreed.....

He will get bored with the mid-table europy league liverpool, and he'll jump at the chance to manage one of the champions league bigger boys.

He'll probably get the sack and make a 'all is forgiven' return for brenda.

at least Liverpool are showing some ambition, something Arsenal have lacked for the best part of a decade
