You have a point. I was just about to write this in the tennis forum that every forum seems deader than usual.
But I guess it's just the long term effects of having a lack of people who can actually sign up. Are Betfair still doing their only offering sign up to users rather than anyone can sign up? If so, that will be why. How many people are even offered it? I only know of one person who seemingly posts on the forums who signed up in about the last 2 years.
With hardly any new users coming in, some users disappearing, it's inevitable the forums becomes deader. It's then a knock on effect, as less posts = less encouragement for others to post.

They still offer invites AFAIK because I kept getting directed to a link when I couldn't get in saying you need a 6month active betting history etc...and there are a few late 2014/2015 accounts knocking about.

The British Masters is on but only 1 person has posted today.
I think they're testing the waters, driving people away on purpose before eventual closure due to lack of numbers.

Every forum seems dead these days. It's most noticeable on football forum, because this place always used to have the most posts.
Take that Arsenal vs Man Utd game. That got 133 posts. That would have got about 133 posts 15 minutes into the game a few years ago. No game that isn't a major TV game gets any sort of talk anymore.
Things like the boxing forum seem nearly completely dead.

The best thing about the time when people could sign up straight after being banned, was that people used to make parody accounts such as Mug tree (for money tree) or CalmoanLiedAboutWatney

The darts forum has been fairly busy during this week tournament but that's mostly due to wisewords and his intellectually challenged bunch of friends.
Since the format change in 2010 the forum doesn't lend itself to quick live in-game chat.
Pre-2010 it was the best forum on the net!
At least we've had a slow withdrawal. Cold turkey would have been worse.
