I don't understand why everyone thinks Stoke should be shorter myself. I fancy Liverpool for my life here. Desperate to avenge the last game of last season, and Stoke have lost a couple of big players and the new signings will take time to adapt.

I could honestly see a 3-0 Liverpol here.

dont know where the vengeance angle comes in,its the first game of the season they wanna win,its rodgers with all kinds of unknowns, could be 6-1 again, could 0-3

So Rommel. You think getting drubbed 6-1 in the last Premier League game we played, against the same team, at the same ground, won't give the team any extra motivation?

When: 09 Aug 15 08:53
nope not really, beaten fair and square on the day, nothing to avenge,of course they want to go there and fckn drub them

I wouldn't have Stokes as outright favs but I think they should be around 2.8ish (joint favs). Of course they will want to go there and avenge the drubbing, but they could also go there sh1tting themselves with the bad memories of that drubbing. If you bet prices, Stoke are the value imo.

if br gets any more juice out the players to avenge a defeat on the last day of the season then they werent fckn motivated in the first place ffs,its the first game of the season,if as we hope they might challenge for the title/cl place then every game they should be aiming for a win

do suspect we are a martingale team with punters so thats why we end up shortish even for games when more guesswork is involved.

Liverpool way too short imo, one win at stoke in last 10 years

Liverpool are a crazy price.

The key to this game is if BR picks Lovren ahead of Sakho. If he does the keystone cops of Skirtel and Lovren are ripe for the picking.

If Sakho plays then think the reds will have too much for the potters.

when pool were at their peak the season before last you wouldnt fancy them to win at stoke without gerrard, suarez and sterling so your expecting them to click straight away and brendan to have improved his transfer spending by 100%,enjoy if they win but an absolute mug bet at the prices

Stoke have defensive issues with Shawcross out, and another one or two struggling for fitness (Johnson, Wilson etc), so wouldn't be confident of Stoke winning by more than three or four today.

Well 2.18 over 2.5 goals and 4.0 over 3.5 goals looks good. 2 of the last 3 games would have copped on these bets.

With Stoke without Shawcross and LFC playing a kid (albeit very promising) at LB and the worst CB pairing in the league in Skirtel and Lovren, a dodgy keeper in Mingolet. Add to it LFC attacking talent this looks fair.

Also Stoke at 3.95 look too big.

Weakish looking Stoke side without Shawcross, Arnautovic, Bojan, and not a great bench either, so will be a tough one. Expect Walters to give Gomez a working over though, so you never know.

Forgot to add with Glen Johnson playing - the worst RB in the league I wonder at what point they will play goalie rush.

Could be 7-7 all this game.

Hopeful Liverpool will dominate in midfield today..Adam and Whelan not exactly mobile and think well be too good for them in there.get in charge in there and get the ball to coutinho and benteke..

then again only a deluded soul like brenda would think removing milner from world class players like aguero, toure and surrounding him with the bog average players at l,pool would improve on that 6.5 average, but thar ya go,
funny how it took milner 900 and odd games trundering up and down the wing to work out he was better in centre midfield, never heard him voice those opinions when he was competing against ya ya, gerrard, lampard etc for a midfield birth
