Who do the neutrals want to drop?

As a Sunderland fan this is pretty much a dream scenario...................Newcastle drop and there will be a meltdown of epic proportions..............I'd love to see that horrible, vile, fat specimen of a human being Steve Bruce drop though.

It's a win win situation for us.

You're asking me to pick a side but remain neutral while doing so? Hmm...

I can't do that. As a neutral, I simply don't care which of the two goes down.

Newcstle will probably get rid of that rotund parasite more quickly if they go down.

I'd prefer Newcastle for the comedy value but by god it's hard to crawl out of bed when you know you've got Hull at home that day. Wouldn't miss them at all.

I would say Newcastle - only on the basis that I'm a Bristol City fan and would like another away day (weekend) up there..

Would love to see Newcastle drop just for the way the fans treated Pardew.Really don't think he actually done too bad for them and it's about time they realised they are a mid table premiership side at the very best (might not even be that much longer). For some reason these Geordies would prefer to go down with Shearer at the helm than stay plodding along mid table with a 'non geordie' manager.Having said that I really think they will be safe as the way Hull are playing at the moment I really can't see them getting much joy against United.

Believe it or not John Carver is still twice as successfull
as Alan Shearer was, as Newcastle manager (in terms of pts%)

does mike ashley go to the games anymore...........i know he used to...........cant imagine it will be safe for him on sunday.........i think he has to shoulder most of the blame but the fans must take some blame.......think hull are capable of beating a under motivated man utd and with probably  big sams last game plus being sacked by newcastle could makes thinks interesting.

it would be all that Mike Ashley deserves if Newcastle go down, and from that perspective, I hope they do...

but as written earlier, and from another perspective, would anybody really miss Hull in the top flight ???

as it goes, I think Hull are a gonner in any case

Makes me laugh how people think theres more chance of Ashley selling up if they go down......now I'm no expert here but surely a Premier League club is easier to sell than one playing in the Championship....

No fear here sunshine, just tremendous excitement at seeing at least 1(minimum)fat Geordi5 crying his eyes out live on TV come 5pm tomorrow night.

Fat Bruce or 50k crying geordi5s, what an utterly tremendous day tomorrow is going to be.......If Carlsberg made Sundays....

Bruce is absolutely despised by every Sunderland fan I know for the way he went after being sacked by us, constantly mouthing off saying he was "sacked because he was a geordie", which was complete rubbish, at one point he'd won 3 games in a whole calendar year, I can't stand him.

Then again it would be highly amusing to see Newca5tle drop tomorrow, there fans are mouthy as ****, they genuinely think they should be challenging for the title, their lack of self awareness is astonishing.

I can't lose tomorrow, it's a win win situation.

Think the real pity is that sunderland are staying up
They have been the worst team in the EPL for the last  3years
Loads of overpaid underperforming footballers who will do the bare minimum
Theres a reason Fergus jettisoned Oshea and brown from what was a distintly average squad
Simply put, they are not winners
Di Canio comes in, rescues them then they are back in the mire the following season
Gus does the same and he gets the old tin tack too
If I was Advocaat I would gtf outta there

Really the game was up when the players turned up at Ellis Shorts door and demanded Di Canio get the push cos he wouldnt let them have tomato ketchup or diet coke or whatever it was.
As mad as Paolo was he saw how sh!te the squad was and needed a fitness and discipline regime to make up for technical shortcomings.
The fact that Short gave into them sowed the seed for the absolute cack they have served up since
Still, for the rest of us it means we are pretty much guaranteed 6 pts off them so things cant all be bad

As for Hull/NUFC I prefer Hull
They have had crippling injuries while Geordies only have themselves to blame

Di Canio had the right idea but went about it in totally the wrong way......there's a reason why 18 months after being sacked by Sunderland he is still out of work and no club at all will touch him. He will never manage in Premier League ever again, I'm certain about that.
By:
thelatarps
When: 23 May 15 21:41
Di Canio is Italian
In Italy they send their players into training camp away from the distractions of ordinary life if the squad don't perform
I am sure that is what he had in mind
Paolo may not work again in the EPL
But Gus is another let down by the Sunderland players and I think he will manage again.
By:
grayhawk
When: 23 May 15 21:53
Yes Gus Poyet will manage again.....he also may have been let down by the Sunderland players but he also let himself down by strangling his team with fear...the fear to attack an opponent ( especially at home ) in case they conceded and the inability to have a plan B

I would say i have to question the sanity of any manager who let the current sunderland squad off the leash so to speak
In a bid for all out attack barca/madrid style.
When you are faced by a superior opponent you become hard to beat, take what you can.
Sunderland are so bad that in all probability Gus realised he had to adopt such tactics against every opponent.
I really do think its a toxic atmosphere there.
Like the England cricket team in the last tour down under.
Full of has been old pros who can't cut it any more.
You only stayed up beating teams with nothing to play for at the end of the season and because made you hard to beat.
