everybody knows that living in UK is the best for sports trading so maybe you should punish UK residents somehow too??? (irony of course)

Got a 12-second delay this morning on the South Korean game (Jeonbuk Hyundai) as well. I don't know whether that's always been the case or not, but I found it difficult to get matched at the odds that I had put in and gave up betting altogether on it after several failed attempts. At the very least it's annoying, but at the same time it can't be good for business for Betfair (missed commission and all that)?

By:
exactly man, i checked the same game in south korea...it was disgusting! they give us 5-6 sec in-play delay on some european football but ruin the rest of games with pathetic 12 sec. we must do sth about it and write to the management directly!
|
|
By:
Is there any offical statement for that 12 seconds delay?
|
|
By:
wtf even for Boca - River classico 12 seconds !!
|
|
By:
12 sec... shocking. It is just NOT FAIR anymore!
|
|

Here's the official reason why:
It's due to a delay in some feeds, so markets will have a longer delay unfortunately. It's something we're working to improve moving forward. t's a new delay time due to the delayed feeds we're getting. So the 'improve moving forward', was in relation to getting quicker and better feeds so we can offer the markets with a smaller in-play delay. |

6 second delay in Columbian games

If they are protecting customers increasing the delay on Argentinian League etc when they don't protect customers on other leagues, where they are being hoovered by "someone"( La Liga, Premier League, Bundesliga- there is no protection there. Im agains 12 seconds rule as it seems to be crazy.

i think they want us off here
it's like a bus service that the council wants rid of- they don't close it because that would incur roth and fury -but if they make sure the buses are unrelaible and old enough, the hope is that folk will be encouraged to get a car or taxi ![]() |

Have the same feeling Coach ;)

By:
Maybe it's come to the point where they think they Exchange is too much hassle and after 15 years has already past it's peak so the next plan is to close it down and have a sportsbook only, with their prices they wouldn't last long.

Would help if we didn't have incessant and needless suspends. Though that is something that has been common for all the time I've been using Betfair.

By:
probably have to tighten things up otherwise they wont be getting licenses.......

they knocked the delay down to one second for most golf events, a massive step forward
some live golf is two minutes behind on tv , a 120 second delay to protect punters would be a laugh |
|
By:
That's how I feel a bit about a 12-second delay on football, donny. I understand they're trying to protect the punter from hoovering, but the longer the delay, the reality is the further ahead in future you're actually betting anyway. I'm really not sure that protects punters. 12 seconds really is a ridiculous length of time in a football match.
|
|
By:
so long as they make it clear in the rules
some football is unmanaged, i'd far rather play unmanaged than 12 second delay, but i suppose the big layers dictate the conditions |

Probably just wanting to eradicate the scalping parasites

some governments actually do want to protect their citizens unlike the ours
