Can't have it both ways Jose. You send out a team of nasty feckers like Ivanovic, Terry and Costa, full of sly elbows and off the ball digs then complain when people get booked. You can't send out a team of divers like Hazard, Drogba and William and then whine when referees don't give you penalties.

marychain you keep coming out with this stuff about Chelsea being dirtier than most.

You list the players you feel are most likely to be aggressive and then to back it up you list the players you know won't fit into the aggressive category and brand them divers.

Tell you what go away and see how many cards Terry has had this season seeing as it's this season that Jose is highlighting.

As for Hazard the guy is kicked week after week. You don't see him constantly rolling around trying to get people into trouble. When he first came to this country I expected a few theatrics from him and it hasn't been the case. Players like him, Silva, Aguero etc are a joy to watch and they're the type of players we want in the PL.

Report Marcce February 22, 2015 5:02 PM GMT
marychain all I see is someone claiming they don't have any particular problem with Mourinho and Chelsea listing a load of laughable untruths about players. Now tell me if I'm wrong but the point you appeared to be making was that Mourinho has no grounds for complaint about the Matic incident because Chelsea players are aggressive themselves.

As it seems you haven't made the attempt to check out what I advised I'll tell you shall I? Over the past 3 seasons Terry, this example of how dirty and aggressive Chelsea can be, has picked up the grand total of 4 yellow cards in the league. He's yet to be booked in the league this season and I think has 1 yellow in the CL.

Now that's not bias. I know from watching just about every minute of every game Chelsea play that someone like Terry isn't a dirty player but unlike you my supposedly biased view is backed up by the stats. Now if you were to say he sometimes goes too far hounding officials I'd agree 100%. Likewise I know Hazard isn't a diver. If you go back through the Chelsea thread to last season you'll see some stuff from me criticising Ramires for diving. I know full well when our players have dived and speak up about it.

As a Chelsea fan I've never tended to have illusions about our players. Dennis Wise, for example, was a great player for us but I won't deny he was a dirty, spiteful little sod. Drogba over the first 2 seasons he was with us was a nightmare for diving. So much so that Chelsea fans booed him for it. Whilst you've included him in the divers list above he actually cleaned his act up after getting booed. What he does do is sometimes make the most of an injury at times to break up a game.

Just stop to think that sometimes people who watch every game might have a greater insight about players and it might not just be all about bias.

If Mourinho was made of chocolate the k u n t would eat himself. He is a top manager but he has become hard work to listen to and all this conspiracy waffle, attempting to intimidate referees for future games could become counter-productive and work against Chelsea. The ref made a bad mistake yesterday, it happens.

I cannot have John Terry being a dirty player, and you cannot criticise Chelsea for being cynical and professional in breaking games up when they do not have possession. It is what Mourinho's teams do. Hazard is no worse than the rest diving wise, they are all at it.

marychain you keep talking about proving your point when you don't even know what your point is. The original post of yours I responded to banged on about him not being able to complain about players being booked when he sends out a team with aggressive feckers like the bloke who hasn't been booked all season. Mourinho has actually complained about players being booked for diving when they should have been clear penalties but never mind.

Your opening post was asking if he was whining that one of his players had been fouled which I presumed was about Matic.

Now take away this issue you seem to have with Mourinho, maybe you think it's good for the game that incidents are clearcut as those are being missed on such a regular basis? Forget it's him doing the complaining here and look at the wider picture which is that the standard of officiating in this country right now is shocking. This concerns me because Chelsea have been on the end of some shockers this season but it concerns me more as a football fan when so many matches are being decided by referee's decisions. Mourinho's not asking for special favours here he's just asking that straightforward decisions are called correctly. To be honest it shows how bad things are when, as mafeking says, Anthony Taylor gets a cup final between 2 London teams who don't particularly like each other much.

CCM annoying you may find him but you'd love him as your manager.

Do they go home after the matches and never read a paper or watch MOTD...

Never give a penalty or free kick to the serial divers and it would soon stop..

Every team has them but some more than others...
Report marychain1 February 22, 2015 8:13 PM GMT
I know what my point is, you don't seem to have grasped it yet though. You are using John Terry's lack of bookings as proof Mourinho's teams are not aggressive. Fair enough, but what it actually proves is that Chelsea do consistently get favourable decisions.

As you rightly say, the standard of refereeing has been shocking lately. But all teams suffer from bad decisions. Some more than others, but that is just variance. No matter what Jose says, there is no grand anti-Chelsea conspriracy and the only issue I have with Mourinho is that he constantly goes on about it.

Anyway, think we're going over old ground. Let's agree to disagree, I know you're a decent bloke from reading your posts before. Don't want to get into a protracted arugment about it.
