My empathy is with the father of three who was assaulted and  physically barred from entering a train on his way home from work by foreign football hooligans. There were a couple of guys thrown off by the Chelsea supporters. The supporters were insulting them, telling them to **** off. They were picked on because they were Paris Saint-Germain supporters, wearing scarves. At one point one of the guys threatened to stab a PSG supporter.

rob I think you've misunderstood to be honest. Those comments were from the bloke that filmed it and not the supporters themselves.

That bit was put in bold to emphasise that it seems it wasn't just a black guy they had a go at and really you need to have followed the thread to understand that emphasis.

I'm certainly not defending them - in various posts I've referred to them as plankton, lowlife, cowardly bullies and scumbags and at the end of the day they've dragged the club's reputation through the mud whether it's racist or not but the whole news angle for the story is the racism accusation. What I've pointed out is whilst they've already been convicted as racist thugs by much of the world's media and the twitterati the video alone would not be enough to convict them of that when set against what they said happened which seems to have been confirmed by the guy who filmed it.

As a club Chelsea have done the right thing in suspending 3 of them from Stamford Bridge for now pending further investigations. They have also not released any names. To me that seems an altogether more satisfactory way of dealing with it than already deciding people are guilty and splashing names and workplaces across the papers and social media before even a charge has been brought.
