"Zlatan Ibrahimovic is upset at losing out to tennis ace Bjorn Borg as Sweden's top sports person of all time.

Swedish newspaper Dagens Nyheter ranked the top 150 Swedes but placed Ibrahimovic behind the five-times Wimbledon winner.

Congratulated by the paper, the PSG striker responded: "Thank you, but to finish second is like finishing last."

Asked for his top Swedes, he replied: "I would have been No 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5, with due respect to the others."

What a man.

There must be some method in the order of this list, and I'm sure a Swedish newspaper are in a better position to comment than me, but it makes the controversy about Lewis Hamilton-Rory McIlroy last week look very ordinary.

Quite. While Ibra is funny with his comments, I wouldn't necessarily have him their top footballer.

I seen god live in the flesh right from the first game when he came on as a sub gave Charney the ball to let hibs beat us right up till his last game when he was humble and crying and was also behind the goals when he scored against us for Barcelona and never celebrated

The problem with Larsson is he scored most his goals in Scotland, where Bjorn Borg would have been top scorer

As a Brit living in Sweden, you can't help but notice Zlatan's face everywhere. I seem to remember him being asked to pick his dream team 11, and when he got to the front two he picked Messi, who he called a "genius" and then himself, who he called simply "GOD"

There is a thin line between arrogance and confidence and he clearly crosses it, but he does so with a smile that makes you kinda enjoy it along with him.

Compare that to Ronaldo for example (not in Zlatans dream team), who simply comes across as arrogant because he is so desperate to be admired. Very different energy and much less likeable in my eyes.

Borg was the greatest sportsman of all time, and he was able to play under the greatest pressure and make the right decisions, only Jack Nicklaus had the same sort of brain!...no footballer apart from Greaves and Muller had such a brain, Nicklaus never made a wrong decision when it really mattered.

well put funkymonkey - you've exactly expressed what i was struggling to get down.  Zlatan is clealy on the wind-up and having a laugh with us.  Ronnie (genius tho' he is) is deadly serious in his own self-appraisal, tantrums and tears bubbling under.   Zlatan - he no cry; he man!
