Hi All,

Last night, i had a bet on Chamberlain 3-1 Scorecast and Welbeck 3-1 Scorecast at my local Ladbrokes store.

I mistakenly have put the price as 3-1 to Scotland as apposed to England, However my betting slip states England to win.

Have i got any legs to stand on to get paid out at the 375/1 which is written on my slip?

The lady in the store mentioned the Welbeck price being incorrect but not the Chamberlain one.

Thanks.

Joe

Scorecast Chamberlain 3-1 England win 300/1

There is no price for a player to score first and the opposing team to win, eg Naysmith to score first and England to win 2-1,nor have I ever known anyone do such a bet. I cant see what's wrong with your bet, it's quite clear what your intentions were, but to be 100% sure maybe you should have specified England to win, but it can quite easily be read as "scorecast, Chamberlain 3-1 England win, 300-1. The important comma coming after the word win.

Chamberlain/England 3-1 was 150/1

Chamberlain/Scotland 3-1 was 375/1

Price does not determine a selection, so your intentions as to what your bet was will not be determined by any prices written on your slip, whatever you do do not let Ladbrokes use this to point out what bet you intended to do. Your bet is a winner.

Cooperman there certainly is normally a price for a player to score first and his team to lose. Quite often a 1-2 scoreline is in the 200s for these bets. I have seen people tip these before and Hills used to offer even better prices than on here for these type of bets. eg look at scorecast market for Arsenal v Man u eg Sanchez 1-2, 1-3, 2-3 etc. I reckon they will refuse you in the first instance, you may need to appeal this but good luck

'Have i got any legs to stand on to get paid out at the 375/1 which is written on my slip?' Certainly not at 375/1 if that was the price for Scotland 3-1?? It says Scotland 3-1 and the correct price for that bet of 375/1 - two indicators that you meant Scotland to win and only one less convincing indicator ('England to win' on slip), I don't fancy your chances here OP. But have a go at it anyway

It will be paid as Chamberlain 1st scorer and England to win 3-1 but paid at the correct price of 150/1. They cant try and get out of paying on the wrong price written by yourself.

he wrote 3-1 Scotland on his slip he said
Report lurka November 19, 2014 4:15 PM GMT
sorry OP did you write 3-1 Scotland or just the 3-1 scotland price? If the latter you have a strong case, sorry i misread

In fact ring customer services and give them the scenario and I bet they tell you you should be paid

any sensible bookmaker will realise there was no chance of Scotland winning 3-1 and cough up imho
Report kenilworth November 19, 2014 4:59 PM GMT
The onus is on the punter to write
his bet correctly, NOT the bookmaker's
to correct it, and will be settled
as written and not as (maybe) intended.

Blimey Ken, I'm agreeing with you again. That's the third time in a row now.

If he put Chamberlin and Scotland 3-1 he`s no chance, it`s a losing bet.

If he put Chamberlin and England 3-1 but marked the wrong price, he`ll get paid at the correct odds.

Cooperman, of course one can bet a 1st goalscorer and the other team to win correct score.

By the way they played, 1000/1 wouldn't be believable.

B et365 do a player to score first and his team to lose correct score, I believe.
