Report Darlo Bantam September 26, 2014 11:12 PM BST
Last night it was longer than 10 minutes. I rebooted my computer thinking it was my connection until I found that service announcement.
Report Mr Spock September 26, 2014 11:12 PM BST
Why not wait until 3am when virtually everyone's in bed, or is that Premium Rate time for the top class IT team they have?
Report 4thjulykid September 26, 2014 11:12 PM BST
If site maintenance is going to affect in play markets it is disingenuous of Betfair to offer those markets that might be affected.
Report Jazzythedogue September 26, 2014 11:13 PM BST
well by my reckoning it has now been 14mins
Report westfour4 September 26, 2014 11:13 PM BST

Totally. Especially when it's nigh-on impossible to find the announcement.

If this stays like this, might as well forget the bet on the Luverdense game...

Report Jazzythedogue September 26, 2014 11:15 PM BST
i would say so julykid especially with the adverts they are pushing at the moment encouraging trading.
Report Darlo Bantam September 26, 2014 11:15 PM BST
They've reopened the tennis market - even though it's raining. And left this football market when there's only two minutes to go. Priorities eh!
Report Soulgrind September 26, 2014 11:16 PM BST
everything open now!

Report 4thjulykid September 26, 2014 11:17 PM BST
Yes Jazzy, these adverts for Betfair NEVER mention the outages, 'loss of feed', 'sorry for the inconvenience' notices posted on this site continuously and have done for years.
Report Jazzythedogue September 26, 2014 11:17 PM BST
ahh open now
Report Jazzythedogue September 26, 2014 11:18 PM BST

hardly a good advert for the likes of me who have only recently started out
Report Mr Spock September 26, 2014 11:20 PM BST
Its not hard either is it to keep people informed on the right forums, if we all know whats going to happen at a specific time then we cant complain (too much) when it does.

horrible service, as u arent allowed to trade out... might as well avoid the exchange
Report Jazzythedogue September 26, 2014 11:23 PM BST
I only saw the message by accident just before it suspended on the main exchange page, but that was removed a couple of minutes later
Report Soulgrind September 26, 2014 11:24 PM BST
no cash out available?
Report 4thjulykid September 26, 2014 11:25 PM BST
With the loss of several Countries allowed to use Betfair and a reduction of layers due to PC, Betfair are trying to service fewer customers than they were say 5 years ago.

But they now offer untold markets on the exchange, sportsbook and casino sites and to these fewer customers.

I remember them taking over 3 hours to pay out on Best Mates first Gold Cup, and saturday afternoon at 3.00pm the site was nearly unusable.

Despite flotation and shedloads of money coming its way, the Betfair website has not kept pace. It is lucky the competition is virtually non existent.
