Under the current terms, everything else being equal, exactly the same amount of PC would be payable. There is no periodic PC allowance.
In either case, a gross profit of £100k could be made with no PC paid or PC of up to £59625 could be incurred. The latter figure assumes a customer on the highest 60% PC rate prior to winning a further £100k with a 100% strike rate in the lowest 0.75% base rate markets. |

Thank you jt45.

jt45... I think max is £59000 with 100% strike rate at 2% comm. All the 0.75% markets are now set up to pay normal comm. You get a refund the next day, but that is ignored for PC purposes.

Sun,
You are correct on both counts. My post was based on the 0.75% base rate being applied on market settlement as it was in most of the 'Asian Handicap' markets (those with the 0.01 price increment to 1000) when I had last bet in them in early February. I had no particular need to bet in any of the soccer AH markets until very recently such was the commission I had generated in the early part of the year and my betting activity since then. However, I did seek clarification about the trial and received contradictory responses from Betfair. It wasn't until I read Mr Ed's thread that I obtained an accurate response from the Pricing Team via the Helpdesk which was later confirmed on the Service Forum. |

Yes the Asian Handicap rebate system is good for boosting commission generated. Also it boosts your betfair points (note that there is a Cash Race ending Sunday.) If the spreads were a bit tighter it would actually be profitable to make random bets on Asian Handicaps if you haven't reached your target yet! As an experiment, I have put up tight spreads in the Man Utd-0.5 Everton +0.5 Asian Handicap, and the same market in the main Asian Handicap. Please join me!
