Despite the Holyrood electoral system being deliberately designed to prevent domination by any single party, the "Nationalists" (as you put it) won a landslide at the last election.
Tories have ONE Westminster MP from 59 seats in Scotland. Before boundary changes and after the '92 election, they had NONE from 72. The Tories under J Major won that election, thus the obvious: there is no democracy for Scotland in the present setup.

Scotland will be one of the wealthiest countries in the world if we vote YES. Lets hope that modern day Scots have the balls to vote YES on a ballot paper. We will never get another opportunity for a long long time to control our own destiny. The fact that the Tories and the English establishment, who both hate us, want us to stay is a good enough reason to go. Mind you, they`ll probably rig the vote.

Alias,
not sure about your point ...
If people who live in Scotland want independence then good luck to them and may they vote accordingly.
I am English and live in England and I have no choice in whether I want England to be independent of Scotland or not.
You're lucky to be able to vote on it.
Good luck, anyway.

Alias

The name of the party far predates the discovery of oil and if anything from an electoral and thus self centred point of view it would do the Tories no harm for Scotland to go independent. The Tories in general are ideologically wedded to a United Kingdom.
