Depends whether it was advertised as 80 minutes, 90 minutes or no time stated. If it was advertised as 90 minutes you could probably complain direct to Betfair and the market could be voided. I've seen such markets voided in the past, but it may be that the wording has changed since then.

where would it have been advertised as an 80 minute game (or otherwise?)

Market rules.
For example, Galatasaray - Atletico says this: Predict the result of this match. All bets apply to Full Time according to the match officials, plus any stoppage time. Extra-time/penalty shoot-outs are not included. |

the goal was in 84 min and they played 6/8 min more

that's funny I was betting on a goal 1st half, couldn't understand why it finished on 40mins - didn't say anything about it being an 80 minute match

Not sure how it was given the game kicked off at 3pm and I started this thread at 16:38. That would mean that I was posting about the result before it could have finished

@Barney, did you trade the game?

|
By:
unfortunately not, my bet was on b365 - sounds a dire game by all accounts

Betfair pay out on friendlies when the match official decides it's ft.
This was an 80 minute match but it's never declared so on betfair hence their rules, I've seem friendly matches only played for 60 mins and the refs decided enough's enough and declared ft. I've warned people about this several times on here. |

I had the Bet365 screen up just before halftime too and it just suddenly disappeared at 40 mins
