Without doubt the most interesting league in Scotland this year. Rangers seem to have strengthened their squad well with the signing of Kenny Miller and more importantly Kris Boyd. (the SPL's most prolific goal scorer ever) I would be surprised if Miller puts in more than a season's shift, however Boyd could easily give Rangers two or thre years service.

Strong favourites to win but no shoe in with Hibs and Hearts looking the main challengers. Having said that, Rangers have the huge support that only the likes of Celtic, Man City, Man Utd, Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool, etc. can only dream of and should win the title comfortably, albeit with a few tricky games.

Any thoughts from Championship fans welcome.

I know what you mean wullie. You'll be hard pushed to see me post anything about Celtic for for the reason you give above. I've no real interest in any other club although I hope Newcastle go down and that's only because of Mike Ashley whom I have no time for.

Nice to see Hibs getting dragged into extra time today and they still have to play the final which can only be in Falkirk's favour.

Not punting too much at the moment until the flat pans out a bit more. Hopefully you are taking plenty off the layers or backers whatever your choice is.

Obviously from our point of view it would be ideal for Falkirk to finish 3rd giving Hivs an extra 2 games to fit into their schedule.

Their last league game is the 1st of May with the 1st of the playoffs scheduled for the 4th and 7th.
The next play off rounds are the 11th and 14th with the final games the 19th and 22nd.
However with the Final to be played on the 21st these games will have to be rearranged.
Does anyone know the alternative arrangements?
Report iamajambo April 21, 2016 2:09 PM BST
King aka,I think that you meant to say 'for Falkirk to finish 2nd'.

Anyway,in advance of either of the semis someone on a Hearts fans forum put up a thread asking who would we prefer to win if the new Huns and the Hobbits got to the Final.Of approximately 300 respondents,91% voted for the new Huns,on account of the 1902 thing.I didn't vote but had I done I would have been in the 9% category.

I do not hate Hobbits, but as you will be well aware I most certainly hate Huns and huns.

BTW do you really need to use the sectarian term Hun?

Anyways, the bottom line is this. Falkirk win their last two games they finish second. I'm actually thinking of sticking a few bob on them to beat Raith Rovers at appox. 6/4. Not on here I may add due to no liquidity. It will be a case of trolling the city centre and hoping to get on here and there.

5.30 KO so I presume it will be televised.

King akabula,I attended my first ever Hearts game in 1962.It was against Aberdeen and ended 2-2.Norrie Davison scored for us.

I was there at that sad day in the final match of the season in 1964 when Willie Waddell's Kilmarnock pipped us on the now out-dated 'goal average' as we were miles ahead on goal difference.Killie won 2-0.I can still recall a shot from Alan Gordon which looked goal bound until tipped over by Bobby Ferguson.A 2-1,or even 3-1(Ithink)defeat would have won Hearts the title.

Believe it or not, I attended the same primary school as Waddell and at one stage was given a text book previously assigned to him 30 years previously.Children were obviously more careful and considerate in those days.

Anyway,no more of saying that I'm not a Hearts fan and, btw, the majority who is not a hun prefers to refer to The Rangers as 'The Huns'.It's what the rest of us think of you.

A bit like myself wullie. 95% of my betting is horseracing. Having said that I've had a few decent wins on the golf in my 14 years on here. Having said that, 5% of my bets have been on US and Assie racing. (espesially if I've had one too many)

I've lost overall on the US racing but surprisingly I've made a wee profit overall on the Aussie racing. Nothing major but I have already mentioned to you that I'm not a big AW fan.

Anyways, I'm going into the city centre tomorrow to back Falkirk. My aim is to have five singles on and two doubles with Spurs on Monday.

No point in mentioning sums involved as I will not be able to proof the bets.

I would never ask anyone to show or proof bets because basically its none of my business. In my opinion if you have a tenner left in the whole world and you have half it on a horse then that makes you a massive punter. As i have said in threads a few times in the past i have one source of income so i have got to be right, luckily in the past i have been right enough times to get a decent enough living at the game , full time since 1995 ish and semi for 10 years before that. I am going to the game tomorrow ,few beers pre and after so will burn the midnight oil tonight trying to find a winner or 2 for saturdays cards. GOOD LUCK  with your bets pal.

That's thirteen draws out of thirty five now, (37%) more than a third of the games they have played.

On a brighter note, Hibs also drew which means Falkirk's new stadium will be bursting at the seems next week as a win makes them finish second.

As for tomorrow's final I can only hope that Hibs keep up their record.....they have lost the last ten Scottish cup finals they have played in. Here's hoping they make it eleven.

Both teams will be up for it but I fancy Rangers to take control of the game and take the oldest football cup in the world back to where it belongs.

As for yesterday some pitiful schoolboy errors from Rangers to hand Hibs the cup. Having said that they deserved it over the ninety minutes and good luck to them in Europe next season where they get a bye for the first round and go straight into the second round so to speak whereas Aberdeen and Hearts have to start at the begining.

Anyways with a few shrewd buys next season hopefully we can put in a decent shift and get at least a top four finish.

im expecitng them to be priced up as more likely to go down than up.
