To counter the bad feeling, Colombia hardly threatened Cesar in goal.

Colombia play with a deep defense and it worked against them today.

Whistle-happy ref gave an astonishing 50 fouls

the players took advantage of the card amnesty he was having

57 free kicks is phenomenally whistle-happy
Report Dan Chipowski • July 4, 2014 11:09 PM BST
Colombia far too naive near the end, gave away countless stupid fouls to alleviate the pressure on Brazil. Brazil went out to bully them and got the job done.
Report donny osmond • July 4, 2014 11:09 PM BST

Report high_lander • July 4, 2014 11:15 PM BST

Report Eeternaloptimist • July 4, 2014 11:27 PM BST
Nonsense. Columbia only started to play when two down. They were overawed by the occasion.
Report johnni • July 4, 2014 11:34 PM BST
Game was so fixed.

Key points:

-Columbias coach clearly told them to be a little careful so they dont get cards easily cause referee probably on Brasil side. Well referee was on brasils side so Colombias game for the first half was frozen, they didnt know how hard can they play. Colombians were kicked down and nothing happened but when neymar and friends act like some assburger without candy or WOW, referee immediately blows the whistle.
-Also if colombia was attacking referee blows the whistle.
-What was it, 54 fouls? 1 foul 10-15 seconds of time wasted so 54 fouls is 9-13.5min of total game time wasted.
-Neymars acting and then they carry im away. Why the hell is an adult man covering his face if he was slightly hit in his back. I never would do that. Unless he was laughing. They carried him outside cause otherwise it would not look credible if they carry him to the side of field and then his "ok again". 1-2 mins wasted.
-First half had only 1 minute time added, should have been more.
-james rodriguez got a yellow card for, was it that he was talking back to referee Laugh
-

So in the end, 54 fouls took away 10% of whole game time. Brasil was panicking and game was fixed.

Only way to profit in this game was if you know or have a hunch that its fixed. Or if you layed brazil after 2 goals at 1.01 and sold them out at 1.1 when Colombia made a goal. Other than that, total gamble game since Colombia was better but they knew referee probably not neutral so they must try to play nicer. Well, didnt help.

What a piese of shiiiii game.

Some crap written on here.  Big muff Columbia were offside for that so called legitimate goal u stated.  Referee didn't cause Columbia to be poor for 1 hr.  NO excuses
Report johnni • July 4, 2014 11:47 PM BST
haha jriskin dont joke. Crazy
Report high_lander • July 5, 2014 12:01 AM BST
Obvious fix. Ref lets Brazil kick the hell out of the Colombians all through the game. Fernandinho did enough to be sent off 3 times in a normal game. Brazil overall should have had at least 3 players sent off. Rodriguez gets kicked and scythed down, lost count how many times, no one gets booked. He does one mistimed meek tackle gets booked. Colombia were never allowed to get into any rhythm because the ref refused to protect their players.

Make no mistake if you are going to beat Brazil in this competition you'll have to beat their players and the officials. We saw it in the first game with Croatia, which was even more blatant than the Colombian game, and we will see it in the Semi-Final. Germany wont have to be better than Brazil, they're gonna have to be miles better than Brazil.

Colombia is only spelt "Columbia" in one country in the World - Romania. Columbia refers generally to America and many places in America. Colombia is the country's Spanish name after its founder Christopher Columbus, Sp. Colombus, and its English name.

Report donny osmond • July 5, 2014 12:51 AM BST
surely colombia was founded by simon bolivar and named in honour of columbus

his spanish name was chistobal colon
Report Darlo Bantam • July 5, 2014 12:56 AM BST

Hardly robbed as Brazil were 2-0 up which should and could have been double that before Columbia decided to throw caution to the wind and start playing so they only have themselves to blame like France.
Report johnni • July 5, 2014 1:22 AM BST
Someone go calculate fouls/ cards ratio for this last game and compared to other games. Must be lowest amount of cards compared to highest amount of fouls.

I cant wait to someday see this brazil team in a non paid of environment. They will get raped and neymar will turn into a fkin little squashed rat he deserves.

"Neymar will miss the rest of the World Cup after fracturing a vertebra during the team's quarterfinal win over Colombia, the team's doctor said Friday."

" He was taken to a private clinic for tests and team doctor Rodrigo Lasmar said the star striker had fractured his third vertebra.

"He will not be in condition to play, he will need a few weeks to be fit again," Lasmar said. "He is very, very sad.""

What bullshiieD

It takes months or more to heal a cracked vertebra. There can even be serious nerve damage and pain in the legs through the sciatic nerve.

You will see Neymar back in the games. This is a total lie.
Report johnni • July 5, 2014 1:36 AM BST

You may not rate him as a player johnni, but you have no basis to say he was feigning injury and you'll look stupid when he doesn't play again in the WC.
