I did Bergkanp and I've also met him. It was on the golf course and he was really good to talk to.
The first thing he did when he made it was buy his parents a bungalow on the outskirts of Stirling. He also bought his dad a bmw with private plates.

One of the most often repeated falsehoods in Scottish Football ; Duncan Ferguson was jailed for a head butt on John McStay .NO HE WASN'T . It was for a Breach of Bail , a serious offence that might get you 6 months inside . It's the getting arrested/into trouble that is more serious than the offence whilst on Bail ( in most cases )
What was the breach of bail? Incidental really as he should never have been charged in the first place.

Duncan Ferguson looked a real hard nut, doubt any player from the past would have got got on the wrong side of him
Regards my earlier post about Duncan Ferguson , I was wrong to say that he was on Bail , he wasn't . But he was on a years probation , and he had 4 convictions for ; Breach O.T.P. , Driving Under Influence and Assault ( twice ). So although you could say he was jailed for the "head butt" , the fact that he had previous convictions and was on probation made the case very unusual .

Lambie was the Hamilton manager and he was screaming at Charnley to keep in position and stop following Davie but Charnley was seeing red by now and didn't listen.
He was eventually substituted when he made a lunge on Davie who sidestepped away leaving Charnley in a heap and all the Rangers supporters laughing the place down.
I think this was a cup game and I'm sure it ended 4-1 to Rangers.
