yeah the pools one. they sometimes guarantee the prize-funds like they have today with their Derby Pool. they usually don't make the guarantees so great value for a punt.

A great 2 yo from the 1980s :) Staff CAN enter the pools. Some do and some don't. I'm the CEO and I love playing them (withnail160). I'm terrible, so come and get it :) No-one at the company has any inside info on other entries though. All players entries are secret until the Start Time of the event We are slowly trying to increase our guarantees as the pools grow. Our aim is to reward players, not give away our marketing £££ on gimmicks and "strings-attached" type offers We are giving out a £5 each time you refer a mate to the site too! We also pay out Prizes for Monthly Halls of Fame for players who do the best over a month and you can win £10k for just a quid if you nail all the questions in a Jackpot Pool Hope Betfair doesnt mind me answering your post...we're not mindless Forum Spammers!! Given all the World Cup pools a spin. The Last Longest looks very interesting, very strategic. Don't want to use up any of the big boys early so gone with Chile in the first round of matches v Australia! What could possibly go wrong :)

was leading the Brazil Croatia game until Oscar popped up in the 90th minute :( cost me £40 odd quid. I guess that's the joy with this site, can change in an instant.
oh well, having another crack at mexico cameroon. can see plenty of goals, but I don't think Mexico will win. They weren't great at all in qualifying. |

I have played on Stakes and Ladders since before it was even launched (the testing phase) and I would strongly encourage people to give it a spin. The World Cup pools have some decent overlay and the website looks superb and is very easy to use. Once word spreads and it builds up a bit of momentum it should prove to be a fascinating and fun form of punting.
What more can I say, except... dive in! (Geddit???!!??) |

There is a new Last Longest pool up after each round (until the knockout). Second round game is up now. How does this work exactly? I looked on the site and I know it's pool betting but what are the options etc. for instance in the markets.

I actually much prefer spending my money here as my money run's for the full 90 minutes. Think a corner in the last minute will win this for me :)

You choose your stake (£1,£5 or £25 i think) and then there are 6 questions on the event. On football, it's usually what will the score be, first scorer, how many corners etc. You get 10 or 20 points for getting a question right and if you score most points out of all entrants you win the money.
