It once took 5 days for Betfair to sort out the withdrawal of £400 I made, it just vanished.

this isn't an isolated incident tho.  they are deliberately witholding withdrawals due to a few customers depositing and withdrawing when betfair weren't getting authorisation codes for deposits but still crediting accounts.  so all of us are on hold.

If there's a technical issue with withdrawals and has been since Friday/early Saturday, then why

a - was I and others able to make a withdrawal yesterday?
b - is the withdrawal page even accessible and not replaced by some holding page explaining the situation?

On Twitter, the standard response seems to be "As soon as the issue is resolved we will inform customers".

Something seems very awry.

I withdrew by card on the 19th and it hit my account yesterday, despite the 24 hour period it claims it'll take.

Things just are taking longer than usual this weekend. I withdrew some money to my Neteller account early on Friday evening, and it only got there yesterday afternoon, just before 5. It usually takes 8-10 hours tops, but this was getting on for 24 hours.

Anybody know when we are able to withdraw? Ive tried sat 22 march and Sunday 23 march but they wont allow me to withdraw my money.Rather worrying!!!

According to some on these threads, the BF phone staff are telling them the problems ought to be sorted by tomorrow.  You should probably take that with a pinch of salt though.

This is the response I get when I try to withdraw  "We were unable to process your withdrawal at this time. Please try again later"What do they mean by later-next week -next year cos it certainly doesn't mean a few mins,hours or days!.Getting ******** annoyed now!!!!

mine let me withdraw alright but it never landed in my neteller been 40 hours maybe now

Best to forget about it today and try again tomorrow. It doesn't sound as though things will be sorted any time soon.

same here Wolfie....   my balance is rising but wont let me withdraw any of it,  perhaps we have to lose a fair chunk before they let us take a few pennies out perhaps?

WHAT A SHAMBOLIC OUTFIT!!!!!!     I am fed up to the back teeth with their so called technical team. The whole lot needs to be replaced. Every single issue i have had has never been resolved the same day, unbelievable! From getting rid of exchange games like Backgammon without notification to customers to this........... unable to withdraw our own monies? Are we going to be compensated? A statement from Betfair on this ongoing saga would be appreciated!!!!!!!

it's ok if u do it f t and have no money in the bank, you could only starve! and theyre not settling bets from last night, theyre an appalling company, getting worse by the week, treat customers like shyte, didn't respond to my email about the withdrawal problem and for all they know I may not have anything at all in bank.they should be reported to someone!

It seems just about every senior manager has left cashing in their shares at the same time in the last couple of years but the above happily ( supposedly ) leave 10 s of thousands in accounts and buy up shares.

Where have i claimed to have an 50k bank on here? and were that even true,surely you'd have to do some betting to get it there,so thats your 2nd point also that is utter nonsense.

shows you how utterly thoughtless you are then, Patrick, because id imagine there are lots of ordinary people who are worried about their money, and even if they weren't, this whole charade of not being able to withdraw your OWN money is scandalous. No other company would get away with this, and I'd imagine, though the betfair hierarchy may be currently looking after their own backsides as though all is well, that if they carry on this way customers will be leaving in their droves.

it says reversed on my statement , i never reversed it they did and its not in my account either.so i can only assume they are laundering my money something they are against

My withdrawal has been pending for two days. Now vanished off the list but no money gone into my bank account or reversed into my Betfair account.

Same here withdrew  Thursday don't think its in. I made 4 large withdrawals earlier this month   Don't even know if they are  in yet as I  don't get statement till 28 th. Hard to tell from card as I have a lot of transactions in and out and haven't a clue what the missus has plundered Going to bank in morning will post .
Hopefully I pulled mine out in time. I've been careful as like I said I was advised 2 yrs back leaving 1000 s in account was madness.
You should also all consider the effect of heavy numbers of betfair transactions has should you need to ask for a mortgage etc.

Well they claim mine has all gone through. I'm Santander ( almost as dodgy as the fair) but I'm not so sure.
My account still says 1190 which I presume is made up of outstanding bets as I can't withdraw that.
I've never got around the complexity of all this can only withdraw what you have paid in unless you ring them and grovel. More evidence of only losers welcome.
Anyway guys I hope it all turns good for you all although I wouldn't like to be in qwertys boots with his 80 k in shares and 50 k balance  lol. I'd rather buy shares in Malaysian air travel.

I'm more than happy with both of those thank you very much.   In fact, I may be buying some more Betfair shares with my next ISA allowance.

Can I back 1.01 with anyone that Betfair are still trading in 12 months?  I'll risk up to a hundred grand.  If you're so convinced that Betfair are going into liquidation or even seriously think it's a real possibility, then surely you'd jump at the chance to back at 99/1 ?

My funds have arrived as normal after requesting a withdrawal on Sunday night.
I have a Lloyds Bank debit card and it always arrives in my bank account at 3.30pm on the 2nd working day, which it did today.
