Suspect there has been a thread or two on this already but why are the press not making more of it? Just how vile a tackle was that? Totally intended and no regard for the health and well being of the Villa player. And it's not like it was a one off, either. He has plenty of previous.

The lad lost it and was out of order ,but after having been done over by a bent ref I do not want players in my team to be happy and like when he had the courage to score in the Nou Camp when many other teams may have thrown the towel in ,Rammy will do for me thanks.
You can take that gutless, nice **** Mikel though and have him in your team if you want him. |

He's been booked for diving, attempted to end someone's career. I think the player deserves villifying in the press like Suarez got for his misdemeanours. That would be fair.

Chelsea re a very nasty side, with a spiteful and one eyed little man at the helm.
All the crying they do when for eg. v LFC Etoo just kicked Suarez in the box in front of ref and no pen given. Horrendous challenges from Hazard et al. Nothing done. No call from the chavs then to bar that ref! |

Not like he tried to bite somebody ,3 game ban Foy can referee his fav teams and we all move on ,Ramires needs to learn how to control his massive will to win and channel it like he did in the Nou Camp .

what did Chris Foy do wrong on Saturday? he seemed to have a good game and got both sendings off correct, as well as spotting the handball by Matic.
Complaining about correct decisions going against you is pathetic, it's as if he expects referees to favour his team. I don't care how many reds Foy has given to Chelsea players, if they were all justifiable decisions then what has he done wrong? |

Well let me see the second yellow for Willian was a joke. He could have sent off Bennett in the first half for a foul when Ramires would have been clean though. He also seems to miss Agbonlahor encroaching onto the pitch (along with others) after the Ramires foul but sends Mourinho to the stands.
If you'd watched the Chelsea games he's reffed over recent years you'd know that game followed a pattern where the big decisions he could have given against Chelsea were given and the big decisions he could have given against the opposition weren't. As for the actual tackle why should the press make more of it as suggested by the op? Bad tackles have happened since the year dot and will continue to happen in what is a contact sport. In this case Ramires is prone to having a lead foot at times. The majority of bad tackles I've seen him make have come when he's pushed the ball too far in front of him and then lunged. He's by no means the only player around who does that. Sagna came very close to doing the same against Danny Rose the other day. It was a bad one, he was rightly sent off and gets the 3 game ban. |

Not only is Ramires a nasty and viscous player, and Chelsea have had a lot of these
over the years, but he is also a very poor player. Not quite as useless as Mikel but he cannot control the ball, pass it with any imagination, and is capable of going long spells without scoring any goals. He is not a footballer and never will be. |
