Man City didn't give themselves the best chance to win the tie with poor team selection and poor tactics.
the problem is that managers dont realise that 2 up front occupies 2 of the back 4, 1 does sh1t, 3 would stop the other team in their tactics, you need to surprise at this level

I don't get the offside rule. There was a Man City player standing in front of the keeper for the goal yet the goal stands.
Nobody understands the offside rule. They should just abolish it all together.
Surely he's deemed to be interfering with play if he's in an offside position and blocks the keepers view.
Only called when the player is literally right in front of the keeper and the keeper makes it known.

Beaten 4-1 against a team who has 1 player worth £200 million makes it sound a bit better!
Don't think Barca moved out of cruise control. City could have gone a goal up, one goal away from extra time and penalties but never a hope since they got on the plane really
Barca are not the triumph this season that they were last few seasons, would expect Bayern and Real both to beat them in UCL this year
Barca were there for the taking before the first leg (Valencia won 3-2 at the Nou Camp) but Pellegrini chose to sit back and play to Barca's strengths, bad mistake. Barca were again there for the taking (Rayo Vallecano beat them 1-0 at the weekend) but yet again Pellegrini played negative tactics. City will look back at this tie wondering "what if" and Pelligrini will not be in charge next season.
City miles behind the big boys, how Milner can play is a mystery. Technically a 4th division player.
Agree ^^ Milner is a joke,offers nothing how he even plays for a top prem club let alone start a Champions league knockout game is beyond me.
I agree about Milner. Twice in the first half he got into great positions near the goal line on the left but his crosses were awful both times. Surely an international player should be able to clear the first defender with a cross?
Milner can't even pick the right boots, slipping all over the shop.
Peregrino should be sacked at the end of the year.
