In front of home fans in a semi final of a cup. They will be wanting to put on a show. This Albion are 7th out of 10 in the bottom division

Rangers as bad as they are are light years ahead of these sides.  At 2/5 won't be getting rich quick but looks a 5's on shot IMHO

Good display from Rovers, reminded me of the septic v Morton game although, unlike us, Scotland's second biggest club couldn't force a draw. We should win the replay comfortably and see off Utd at Ibrox in the semis.

what always amazes me about these threads is the fact that you get folk on here claiming that rangers are dead and that this is a new club.

so if it is a new club with no history can someone explain why so many people who don't support them are so obsessed with the new club and follow everything they do so closely.

there seems to be a lot of hatred and bigotry towards this new club by people who spend more time watching them than watching what their own team is up to.

as for the fixed cup draw, you have to remember that when the celtic f.a. originally fixed the draw, they were expecting celtic to be there instead of aberdeen so they would have got st johnstone in the semis.

not to worry though. honest mistake.
Report Biscar Two from a mile back March 10, 2014 12:26 PM GMT

Have given this matter further thought my thinking was that Utd would have just the one stand but they're likely to have at least 20,000 at the game given it being a cup tie so home advantage not that important.

Hamden is having work for the coming Com W Games in Glasgow this summer.
That's why both old firm grounds are being used for cup semi`s & Finals.
Being a Rangers fan myself, it was a very poor show from most of the team yest & great credit must go to Alb Rovers in nearly causing a big shock.
Rangers players need to get their acts together & put this re-play to bed.
On form Dundee Unt should be favs to get to the Final (playing very well again).

#parkred Cool

It's our first cup final for 14 years. We were always going to sell a sh1teload of tickets. Ex-pats from all over the world are coming back over for it.

I don't think anyone expected us to sell 40k though. I certainly didn't.

Hopefully a few of them decide to come to games more often - although I won't get to put my jacket on the seat next to me any more, which will be a pain.

---------------

It was an Empire wasn't it?

It's a third rate event which involves people falling over themselves to watch sports that they couldn't give a flying fk about every other day of their lives. In all likelihood the games will be scaled back in future due a lack of interest. If they are so beneficial how come no interest has been registered for the 2022 games? Why was Glasgow the only realsitic bidder for these games?

Thousands are working for nothing as they are volunteers. Would it not beneift the city to give them a wage? Lesuire facilites are being closed throughout my council area to save around £700k a year whilst £400m is spent on this. Working class children are being priced out of existing facilities. Where is the evidence that these new facilities will be within their range? Do we really need a new velodrome when the elite squad are based in Manchester?

Every single penny spent on sport should go to grass roots sport; to people that actually care about sport - not on subsidising a two or three week jolly up.

There is no point whatsoever in inspiring young people to get involved if they do not have the means or the money to do so.
