Remind us how Wenger won his last trophy again
We won the Emirates Cup in 2010 so it wasn't that ago, we're currently dusting down the cabinet for a couple more slots this season, this is the worst Chelsea side I've seen under Hosey. |

Jose is the greatest manager that has ever managed in the league and that's coming from an arsenal fan

Mesmerised is obviously in a very bad place as I have never heard anything so low as to try and claim the Emirates cup as a trophy

Too bad the Oscars were last week, because that would take the gong for most desperate straw-clutching in a disaster movie.

Don't worry I can see this post being re released at the season's end when the real awards are presented

In short, No. Zlatan is massively overrated, Wilshere 'likely future Balon D'Or winner' and now this.

People need to stop saying Chelsea are 7 points clear...they are not because City have 2 games in hand ffs
|
|
By:
I would sooner have the points on the board - not saying City will not win the games in hand but always becomes more difficult late in the season when injuries, tiredness etc becomes more relevant
|

In all honesty Mourinho is good value for entertainment. Sometimes Chelsea are worth watching but at the end of the day they are play so cynical they make me want to puke.
Arsenal do play fantastic football but they can be crass to watch as well (Stke last week anybody). It's not often you get teams that are great to watch and racking up trophies. Arsenal fans were lucky to get that 2001-2004 ish. Those teams were fantastic but wtf happened to 2002/3 they definately underachieved that season. They should have won the Champions league in that era and didn't. |

3 games but makes no difference, chelsea won't be caught |

I felt quite sorry for Jose. He came and he gave without taking, but they sent him away.

By:
Jose doesn't even want to win the league this season this isn't hes team wait till next season when they have a striker and they will run away with it

"People need to stop saying Chelsea are 7 points clear...they are not because City have 2 games in hand ffs".
I've read some corkers on here in my time but that one takes the cake. 66 minus 59 equals 7, it's fairly basic maths. |

Brendan is the best.

Chelsea should win the league. They don't lose at the bridge. Refs on there side aswell.

I think you meant to say Brendan is the whitest - well at least his teeth are
|
|
By:
Who's he bought this season? - Schurrle, van Ginkel, Willian, Eto'o, Matic and Salah - total roughly about 100m
Sold - Mata, de Bruyne, Bruma - 57m 43m spent on a squad that is top of the table and still in the CL for the price of Ozil isn't bad going. Like him or loathe him he's a f*cking brilliant manager. |
|
By:
Whatever else he might be there is no doubt he is a top top manager - people can denigrate his style of football but results are everything - ask the owner
|
|
By:
Oh give me strength Biscuit.
You'd have to be an absolute idiot to fail with that kind of money, he has been given everything he needs to succeed on a silver platter and it comes as no surprise to me you'd be one the googly eyed admirers of manufactured success. Try to look past stats and have a feel for the game - I hth. |
|
By:
Have a feel for the game? This from the armchair fan who didn't even know his team were playing until a few days before their cup fixture the other week.
Like i said, 43m spent on a squad that could well win the league is very good business. I think you'd accept Wenger doing the same at Arsenal. |
|
By:
The Special One is just that imo: SPECIAL
No one can look at his management fotty record & honestly say otherwise. |
|
By:
The League is done and dusted. The only task left is to lift the trophy.

You endlessly quote stats, see Mark Twain. I didn't know Arsenal were playing Coventry because for some unbeknown reason they decided to break with tradition and play on a Friday with little advertisement. Like i said, 43m spent on a squad that could well win the league is very good business. I think you'd accept Wenger doing the same at Arsenal. He's spent £109,000,000 this season on players, no point talking about net spend, he never played Mata anyway it was no loss. if You spend that kind of money on players it's harder to fail than it is to succeed. He spent £170,000,000 in his first two years at Chavski too. It's a hard life. |

mugmes think of all those managers who year after year fell for Mikel, not Jose ,bosh 4 months and Matic is on board and showing us all what a proper DM does.
The selling of Mata was a masterstroke as well for 37 million and also if Ozil was a top player he would be at Stamford Bridge ,his coaching is in another sphere. |
|
By:
"no point talking about net spend"
That would be nice and convenient for your 'argument' wouldn't it? But unfortunately in the real world and with clubs now having to adhere to FFP, net spend does matter. I just looked up their transfers, Jose has spent 92m and recouped 57m. That's actually better than i thought. I'm not counting Zouma as he's not even joining until the summer. Likewise Cuevas and Atsu. 35m spent on improving a side from a distant 3rd place and only 3 points ahead of 5th, into a side who could well be title winner. The man is a genius. Perhaps you should start threads on Moyes and Pellgrini? Their net spends: Man Utd - 66m City - 90m Nothing more to see here. |

Mesmerised, I dare you to give me a straight , non smart ass, answer. Do you still think it's time to scrap the pointless FA Cup, or have you changed your mind about that now given Arsenal's position as odds on to win their first major trophy for many years? If you still think it's pointless and therefore won't be getting excited if Arsenal do win it, fair enough, or if you've changed your mind , fair enough too. I'm just asking which is the case?

A.H HUNTER mug. .
mugmes think of all those managers who year after year fell for Mikel He's like Lampard without goals, he is very effective at what he does, seldom gives the ball away, makes the right pass the majority of the time and reads the game very well, your new crush Matic is a good player but Chavksi have done well without him. Although more dynamic he deserves to start in front. Fibuits That would be nice and convenient for your 'argument' wouldn't it? But unfortunately in the real world and with clubs now having to adhere to FFP, net spend does matter. You know absolutely nothing about football. |
