Partly because of the 5-1 , mostly because it is assumed that Arsenal will leave out a lot of players as they play Bayern 3 days later .

Arsenal are good value IMO . I think Liverpool will be resting players themselves and Arsenal have the sort of squad right now where there is not that much difference in quality between 'the first team' and 'the reserves' .They rotate a lot anyway so i doubt the team on Sunday will look much different from you'd see in a league game.

Accrington Stanley would be favs to beat Arsenal at this stage of the season

So, will you back Arsenal? Hope not. Being on the same side of the fence as you, I know why you think that way. Facts are.. a short time ago we win 5-1 (could have been at least 8-1). We are likely to play a full strength team, they are not likely to. They have a very important midweek game against the European Champions. We do not. They do however have home advantage. The prices are not the wrong way around (on paper). If you genuinely believe they are (and if you were neutral) then you would need to be betting a decent proportion of your bank.

Arsenal do look big... But I don't agree Liverpool will rest players. BR picked a full strength team against Bournemouth and has always done so in the FA Cup so can't see him changing tack now. In fact with Agger and possibly Johnson back in, we may even have a stronger side out than the one that beat them.

Catch,
I aint sure Johnson in for Flanagan makes us stronger to be honest.
Way Johnson has performed this season, plus been impressed with Flanagan.

arsenal will not beat pool today ! even on 50/50 challenges ,no player will want too risk injury missing the massive game mid week !

NO were not resting players, Rodgers said he might make 1 or 2 changes but wont be resting anyone and we're going strong.

Henderson is a doubt so Allen might come in. And maybe Agger for Toure.

I think similar with Arsenal, Wenger said maybe 3 players he will change, so probably Giroud, Ozil and another.

Liverpool don't play again until next sunday lunchtime at home to Swansea so can't see them resting too many players. Maybe Toure will be dropped/rested though. Big chance for them to go through and with one of City/

FFS. Stupid site.

......and with one of City/Chelsea going out, a good chance for them to go all the way if they get through this.

Henderson's looked a bit leggy of late so Allen may step in and sit alongside Gerrard. Can see Agger starting too. Apart from that he may throw a curve ball and start Teixeira and give either Coutinho or Sterling a rest.

Whilst it's seen as an advantage not having games it does mean you get less chance to use the squad so you have to keep players happy

Having watched arsenal against struggling opposition mid week this may be good chance to make some changes to starting line up

Liverpool and B Rogers will be full strength from here on in , they have a great chance not only for top 4 but to actually win the thing , F A cup will be another trophy he would like , this is his second season in charge and Im sure he would love to win silverware this time around and also CL footy next yr , a few on the forums were questioning this Manager in his first season ,glad he,s come through it and who thought he would not only keep Suarez but have him sign a new contract and have him player better than ever , long way to go as a Manager but i think he,l be there for a long while and just might get Liverpool back to being a top top side again .

Arseanl 1 goal in 2 games and that was a pen ,Liverpool 8 goals in 2 and none from the main man who did hit the post twice , prob why they are favs imo , they playing with confidence ,are Arsenal ???

well Liverpool fans will know more than me , but Rodgers seems to treat cup games like friendlies IMO

Last month it didn't seem likely they could challenge for the title . Maybe a changed situation now, and the fear of injuries on the run in

I agree Liverpool should be going for the Cup , but Dalglish was fantastic in the cups and yet his 2nd spell is regarded as a disaster.

How does he treat them like friendlies? Played his full strength team against Bournemouth....

Why would he want to risk doing a Southampton and not playing his best team? Got a full week to recover for a home game against one of the relegation candidates

Good post jon b.  Arsenal back to favourite now so wonder whats going on? If jenkinson and monreal start as full backs with fabianski in goal I can see why Liverpool were favourites initially!

Why are Liverpool shorter in the To Qualify market (1.82 v's Arsenal at 2.04) but in the match odds market Arsenal are shorter at 2.7 v's Liverpool at 2.82?  Am I missing something?
By:

Because the market considers Liverpool would be big favourites in an Anfield replay?

the way I see it are Arsenal guaranteed to score on current form ,not sure but Liverpool are scoring goals reg atm even without Suarez in the last 2 , think Arsenal have shortened because the price was just to big ,will AW rest one or 2 for CL game incl the keeper who he has for cup games so far , Interesting to see the team sheet but Arsenal def lacked some confidence against Man U ,looked very nervy esp first half imo

Not really that bad a lineup IMO. All pretty established players apart from Sanogo.

We should be able to utilize our squad. You wouldn't be too happy if Sze got injured in this would you?

By:

Of course not, but his chances of getting injured are small.  Unnecessary risk for a manager 8 years without a trophy.

Actually at 2.88 at home I would be a backer of Arsenal. When was the last time Liverpool beat us at home? I think people are over reacting to the gubbing they gave us last time.
