Never got the hatred for him, thought he was a top co-comm. Came across very passionate even when the game was a borefest compared to some of the shower on now.

Gray was sacked by Sky because he had become too popular and possibly too expensive. Sky were looking for any excuse to ditch him and Keys. Jamie Redknapp was also found to have behaved "inappropriately" but somehow kept his job.

I won't be signing up to BT anytime soon. First they employ Mark Halsey, the worst referee I've ever seen at Fulham* or anywhere else and now the misogynist Gray.
*Halsey's performance in the Fulham/Arsenal game back in 2004 was such a disgrace I'm still angry almost 10 years later. From a newspaper at the time "Mark Halsey will have been tossing and turning in his sleep last night as he awaited the verdict on an erratic refereeing performance that saw him change his mind about giving a penalty to Fulham, deny Arsenal a penalty and then rule out a goal for the home side involving a push that only he saw." |

Best commentator on TV, can't bear Neville and Owens's voice, AG much more engaging and will probably be on Champions League duty for BT in 2015 when Sky's run comes to an end, karma for sacking someone over next to nothing..

Top English Premier League TV pundit and journalist Andy Gray has sensationally remarked that Barcelona’s World Player of the Year Lionel Messi would struggle to cope with the rigours of the English Premier League, and believes he could not cut it away at Stoke City.
The Sky Sports host, who enjoyed spells with Aston Villa and Everton during his playing career, was discussing the 2010 Ballon d’Or nominees during Monday evening’s broadcast of Manchester City versus Everton. When asked by co-presenter Richard Keys whether he felt Messi and Real Madrid rival Cristiano Ronaldo would be capable of scoring so prolifically in England, Gray stated his belief that the Argentine would "struggle in a cold night at the Britiannia Stadium", referring to the home of top-flight side Stoke City. He added that "Barcelona would struggle in the EPL as they've never played the likes of Stoke." |

When in general and in my experience they don't, never did I think I'd see Sky outmuscled by anyone for something that not only did they really want, but is a big part of their product, can see a lot of people cancelling, although I'd say the biggest draw is still PL football for subscribers but I heard BeIn Sports are putting in a bid for Exclusive UK rights |
