I'll put it out there for those doubting my sincerity on the talent of Jack Wilshere.

Jack Wilshere  has everything in his locker to be dining at the top table with all the other acclaimed Midfield maestro's of his generation, if you look at every aspect of his game, his development, his age and strong mentality what we have on our  hands is the potential for a Xavi and Iniesta rolled into one player, with bids in the 60mil-80mil region to be expected from the likes of Barca and Madrid as he approaches mid twenties, a guaranteed star of the Brazil World Cup and those that doubt his ability should probably take up Curling as a spectator sport as you clearly know nothing about Football.

Has the game with the pass, pace, power, precision and panache, a Jack of all trades and a likely future Ballon d'or winner, we should all thank our lucky stars he's English.

poor fishing.

Someone posted previously about the number of times JW hits the deck during a game.

I've kept an eye on him since and cannot believe how easily he is knocked off the ball.

He's on the deck more often than Emile Heskey

Has one good game a month.

Last months was Villa away and he's barely played this month so he's due a good game.

As much of an Arsenal fan as I am, I'm with others on this. Jack just isn't as quality as people make him out to be. Yes he can have a little run with the ball now and again, put a tackle or two in and finish a chance or two, but it happens all too rarely.

What doesn't happen too rarely, is him falling on his arris, whinging like a spoilt child,  doing stupid things that reflect badly on the club and putting in average performances.

Ramsay is an absolute class above IMO. I can only describe Jack as a useful player. Never a match winner.

You must be having a bubble treble, Ramsey a class above Wilshere?

Quality wise he is far above Ramsey who up until this season has only ever been derided now he's flavour on the month after a goal scoring spell against the lesser sides although he has to be the most improved player Arsenal no question, but in terms of raw ability I don't think he is on Jack's level, all Wilshere needs is a long run of games, any player who is in and out though suspension and injury and has that momentum taken out of their game is bound to be inconsistent when he comes back, he goes down a lot to avoid injury and collision.

Wilsheres best year was the year he was out injured. He seemed to go from a good player to a world beater during that period according to everyone. Done very little to suggest he's anything other than ok since then.

I agree he is a jack of all trades; unfortunately a master of none - he is an average premiership footballer, hyped up like many but not a real match winner & by his late twenties many will be asking what he was about - perhaps he will one of the representatives of the GB curling team

spot on. But the English media hype has now moved on to Sturridge now. Apparently he's the real deal.

"all Wilshere needs is a long run of games"

And there's your problem. What exactly is his longest ever run of games? I'd be surprised if it's even double figures.

If his name was Jose Wilsheria and was Spanish you'd all be wetting yourselves over the talent he has not knocking him, you can't make it through the Arsenal youth system as an English player and not have good technical ability, look at Gareth Bale and Van Perise, injury periods for much of their early career and as soon as they got that consistent run of games together they're sold for a combined 120 million with bucket load of goals and personal awards.

I think he could be excellent, has good attributes but he has to toughen up imo. All very well saying he needs a sustained run of games without injury for him to improve, but he's going to keep getting injured if he keeps inviting trouble on himself. Far too interested in buying a free kick to get himself out of trouble and far too worried about getting revenge if he ever does get a kick. Can't think of another player around at the moment who takes punishment so personally, he's just setting himself up as a target and won't be too long before he sees red for retaliation.

If he can tune his actual brain in to work alongside his footballing brain he'll go places.

if he was spanish he'd be nothing special. the only reason he's so talked about is cos he's English and there's a dearth of young english talent atm

If you watch a full game rather than MOTD you'd get an idea of how ineffective he is! Constantly outmuscled on the ball, loses posession in vital areas and makes wayward passes except when they are 5 yards to either side. There is some talent there but nowhere near as much as some make out and like others have said; the fact that he is dubbed 'England's future' is more a comment on the lack of young English prospects than praise for Wilshire.

i love these threads where people join in after seeing what others me included were posting about 14 months ago,i stated 14 months ago he was bog average and once again was ridiculed by those who,d rather use someone elses opinion than their own eyes, ive now revised my opinion downwards to a middle of the lg player,
what with me telling the loons on here that ozil was a luxury they could do without 6 months ago ,i,m feeling rather dapper,
think the answer to my ozil threads went along the lines of if you cant see ozil is world class you dont no the game etc,
after bombing arshavin 18 months before the bandwagon started i only need oxo to continue his un development to land the lot, and as usual walcott becomes a better player when in the sick bay, when we all no he aint the answer

So easy to pick a hyped player and say he won't develop, much harder to back someone to make it. So oh great one 1TP, kindly stick your balls on the line and tell the world which young kids you think will develop and become good players. And then we can check back in 14 months and see how clever you are.
