It's a Torneos de Verano match. It seems to be a mid-season competition. Not sure how competitive it is. And since Betfair seem to have all but given up on showing any football there's no way to gauge the match for me.

Almost all the Brazilian youth matches have the wrong team down as home team at the moment, so it wouldn't surprise me if this was at Racing or possibly a neutral venue.

Same thing happened to me with Real Madrid B at Saturday.. Played the whole second half against 9 men and couldn't score.. And when they did score it was disallowed! Got burnt bad that game

Reading through this you guys know absolutely nothing about Argentinian/South American football. People saying a red card 5 mins into a 'friendly' Yes a friendly in all but name but Racing Club v Independiente is one of the biggest derby games in South America. It's a huge game. Huge rivalry. Plus both sides are in different divisions at the mo so their were no clasicos between them last season.
There games are what is known as 'Summer Clasicos'. It's essentially a pre season tournament in the tourist resorts of Argentina. Gives a chance for fans in other parts of Argentina to see these teams. Boca play River on Saturday night in Mar de la Plata. I think there are three summer clasicos between River and Boca before the season starts.

claydavis, nobody in this thread was boasting about having intimate knowledge of south american football. it just happened to be the only game in the world being played

To be honest I don't want to know alot of about Argentinian football.. Its gash most of the time

Argentinian is absolutely dogsh!t and each and every club should be paying the FANS to come watch not the other way about
