There haven't been many chances for either side, although Sampdoria are on top and playing the better football. Most of Udinese's attacking has come down to crossing the ball into the box and hoping for the best. If it falls to an Udinese player's feet, it means there's always a chance of getting a shot of, but Sampdoria have dealt with it quite easily so far.

It's obviously difficult if you're 10 against 11, but Udinese seem to have no idea how to go about in setting up a decent attack. Doesn't look good for them in terms of getting a goal here tonight.

Well, it's not always easy but this happened not even five feet away from him and there wasn't a player standing in his line of sight. He only clipped his heel, but if there's contact...

I think the second and third red card can be explained and are deserved, but the first (two yellows) was questionable. The ref plays too big a part in this game and that's never good.

Anyone here remember that bald guy that used to play for Sampdoria in the 90's? Around the time that Ruud Gullit was playing there as well? Whenever I hear the commentator say Palombo, I have to think of that guy. Not sure why, as I can't remember his name but I'm pretty sure it was similar. Anyone?

Do you guys think there are more goals to come? Red cards often kill games entirely. I can smell a goal coming before HT at the Cardiff U21 game but not a lot time left there

Not Veron. (Did he ever play for Sampdoria?) I'm talking about Attilio Lombardo.
Lombardo. Palombo. Hmm, not sure why it rang a bell, maybe I'm just getting old and sentimental.

As for more goals -- I don't think so. There are so many stoppages now, I'd be surprised if they had time for more goals. I can see another sending off, though. Some very frustrated players here tonight.

Yes they used to have a great side, I remember when I first started watching football they had Montella, Mancini, ortega and Veron to name a few. They were decent
