I am sure these kinds words will be extremely comforting to the countless betfair customers who lost money as a result of yet another outage this evening.

Thanks betfair, your words mean a lot.

These apologies are becoming empty. Certainly until they really let their customers know why this is happening regularly, or do something to fix it.

If they were genuinely sorry they would just void all bets affected by the outage. Yes ok the people on the right side of a bet during the outage wouldn't be happy but they'd get their stake back and wouldn't have lost anything.

How is it fair that people who lose money as a result of an outage just have to put up with it. Whenever there is an outage, everyone should get their stake returned, it's the only FAIR way of dealing with it.

Copying and pasting up the same old 'sorry for any convenience' is simply no good. People have had enough.

I'd also like betfair to explain that why the other day when they lost their feed during the Den Haag friendly they voided bets on the match and stakes were returned. Yet not tonight.

IN my opinion it is the beta software that is causing all the problems.beta can not be tested before it is run.so now they are getting problem after problem.im sure it cost hundreds of thousands to install so i can not see them getting rid of it.they will never admit it is beta, but beta is well known for causing problems.this is all my opinion.

Do the purple site have these problems or Matchbox? So why is there not more liquidity there?? People moan but still carry on using this site.

They can't do the first line because they wouldn't have a leg to stand on if the losers in this scenario went to IBAS.

I don't think they should do that either. This method isn't fair either, it's just unfair the other way around. I would also guess a higher % of their customers never trade (not by amount of money, just number of customers), thus it would annoy more customers doing it this way.

Just try an view an american horse race ,it is deplorable, racing quick speed, then slowing down to a crawl, and cutting out,is does not matter which browser you use.and it has been like that for months.the site is a shambles but they fail to take organised critism  on board.the dont answer e mails, and got love the betfair front line staff, the get the brunt of the rollicing from the irate customers.its not fair to the customers or the betfair help desk.

cant remember the last time it crashed, or when I couldnt get a bet on due to lack of liquidity

Report brassneck January 10, 2014 11:50 PM GMT
All the other sites run as smooth as a babys bum,but themover is correct its difficult to get bets on.
Report brassneck January 10, 2014 11:57 PM GMT
IN saying that, its starting to get difficult to get bets on here, because of lack of profits with the drop in commission betfair have turned up their bots to a higher level which will eventually backfire on themselves.

no

Report Srichaphan or Ancic? January 11, 2014 12:03 AM GMT
The reason it is difficult to get bets on using the other sites is because those markets are run primarily by people using bots and until the punters who do not use bots go there, they will continue to be that way.
Report brassneck January 11, 2014 12:14 AM GMT
you may be right about the bots, but look at the revenue betfair lose by placing bots ,most layers are not going to lay a second horse until a first is matched, and then a third when the first and second  are matched.betfair are slowing the gamblers down every race and losing hundreds of thousands each day on commission by botting in the first place.

People constantly moan about BF but they're back here next day. Huge site, huge demands, beta, mistakes are bound to happen, not nice when they do but we know what we're getting ourselves into...

im not knocking betfair, they are the best, but their image is slowly going down hill, who wants to go on to a site that keeps breaking down.its a bit like man utd,the biggest club in the world and its sinking, now betfair are the biggest gambling organisation in the world ,but i ask a question"for how long",Betfair need to set the standards, not follow them.

Betfair breaks down AGAIN..i like to trade on football and have lost everytime they breakdown ,suspending the markets.Of course some people will have been fortunate to have won. How ever Betfair needs to be responsible for these errors and find a way to recompense customers in a fair way..I am a relatively small punter, but all "unexpected!losses are relevant to a persons normal stakes...
