things going well now but might not qualify for the champions league next year and even if they do he'll still be off to a club where he has a much better chance of winnings trophies and a player like that deserves to leave without liverpool fans burning effigies outside Anfield after staying for one more year

Reckon Barca will take him

Try to deflect all talk away from the fact your outfit is a shambles. Potless, clueless in charge, Old team bereft of quality, playing dog turd football.

Not such a sparkling outlook is it?

Only you cool cats have to support Man Utd or Liverpool.

As with any truly world class player these days, only 6 clubs could afford him (Barca, Real, PSG, Monaco, City and Chelsea). I don't think Bayern would pay 65-70m for just one player unless they offered a couple in part exchange.

Liverpool obviously would never sell him to City or Chelsea so take your pick from the other 4.

It's quite simple if Madrid comes calling he leaves if not he will be wanted by a host of clubs and liverpool will extract the highest price

Depending on Liverpool's finishing position his form and goals total plus his awards in the player of the year categories may determine if he stays in the prem with liverpool or another side

if barca or madrid come after him in january he will be gone, the only thing liverpool can offer him is they have shown him some loyalty over some of his behaviour, everything else he can get more elsewhere

Was already a done deal for arsenal I heard last deadline but the early ban and the ozil buy put it off
Wenger has been saying come in jan and maybe grab  prem and champions league medals this season
I think he will as wenger apparently contacts personally and that impressed .
He comes they will be unstoppable I could see them winning the prem by 12 points  the champions and maybe even the f a cup.
Luis would like that

Asif he's going to join Arsenal, Wenger isnt going to spend about £80m on a player as thats around what it'd take. January is a no go, maybe Real in the summer, other than that no one can afford him, City and Chelsea will go for flavour of the month somewhere else.

He wanted to go back in the summer, he handed in a transfer request. Liverpool said no way are we selling to a rival.

Let's face it Arsenal should have bid 55-60 million in the summer and they'd have probably signed him instead of pi ss ing around offering £1 over what they thought was his release clause fee. I'm glad they pi ss ed around though as they'd probably be further clear and Suarez would probably heading for 40 league goals this season.

As usual the whoppers can't comprehend that a contract means the player can't force through a move. No way would LFC sell
him in Jan. Liverpool will wait until next season and if no CL footy then he will be free to sign for the highest bidder.

Simples.

You mean the way he couldn't force his way out of Ajax? What about the way he forced his way out of Groningen?

Then again, you probably didn't have a clue he played for those clubs..

Report charwell. December 6, 2013 1:33 AM GMT
Have you heard how bitter you are?!!!

FWIW it doesn't matter what he wants LFC simply will not sell him in Jan, same as in the summer.

And unlike Gronnigen we can keep hold of players.

As for not having a clue he played for those clubs....?!!! Look at Suarez farewell send off for Ajax to see how he and the fans loves each other.
Report jermaine defonebox December 6, 2013 5:59 AM GMT
Think  things were as good as arranged last deadline with wenger and just like ozil  had agreed to come long before he did. So has luis
Players like wengers loyalty to players and he's very popular among them.
Maybe other clubs will now come in with insane offers now realising the guy is one of the greatest of all time. Wenger was there telling him that when every club in England was trying to ruin the guy. I mean he's hardly gonna go to Chelsea or utd is he.
He loves England and he and arsene had to be surgically separated after the last pool arsenal match. Where luis obviously didn't want to ruin his future medals with arsenal by putting on his usual sensational display
Rooney was also a possible buy  but his mental wage demands stopped it.but he's off as soon as he can.
Report jamesbeckton. December 6, 2013 8:11 AM GMT
I don't think he will leave in January but I think there is a decent shot of him leaving in the summer regardless of Liverpool making champions league or not.

Quick Google was it?

History is history, just because you didn't know about it doesn't make the people informing you bitter.

It doesn't matter if Liverpool want to sell or not, if Suarez wants to go he will go. Neither Ajax or Groningen wanted to sell him but he forced their hand. You could have found that out at the same time you searched for the Suarez at Ajax video.

If Arsenal had boxed clever in the summer Suarez would have already gone and you'd have been calling him all the names under the sun.

I thought he wanted to go in the summer, put in a transfer request - how come he wasn't able to force his exit then ?
Report Biscuit1979 December 6, 2013 10:29 AM GMT
They kept hold of him in the summer because there was only Arsenal in for him. Although he put a transfer request in, i don't think Suarez or his advisors really pushed that hard for a move to Arsenal. There was no sulking or going on strike to force a transfer through. But i think it'd be a different story if Barca or Real came calling.

It's also possible that Liverpool kept hold of him by promising that if they didn't make the CL, then he could go next summer. That's just a gut feeling though.

Exit to where? Arsenal didn't follow up their original bid and there were no other takers.

Report ours4keeps December 6, 2013 10:35 AM GMT
Every player's got his price and if he wants to go, he'll go. As long as the bid more or less matches what Liverpool value him at. Unfortunately, for the buying clubs Bale's fee and Suarez's ever improving form mean his value has at least doubled since Arsenal's £40m bid.

He seemed pretty keen to leave and Wenger was hot to sign him - Henry said no - end of.

If the moneys right he will move in the summer and not to a prem side.

I think he would have gone to Arsenal if they knew that the Arsenal option was always going to be there no matter what he did.

Mind you if that had gone through I wouldn't rule him out of being a disciplinary nightmare already while trying to push a move to France or Spain.
