Flamengo host Atletico in the second leg, after the first leg finished 1-1. Flamengo's recent home form has been impressive. From 13 games they have won 10, drawn 2 and lost one. The one defeat though was a 4-2 loss to Atletico when Flamengo were 2-0 up after eight minutes.

Barring a repeat of that six-goal game, this looks like it should be a low-scoring game with the home team edging it. I'm backing Flamengo, 1-0, 2-0 and unders.

Anyone got any thoughts on this game?

Do away goals count?

They do yeah so a 0-0 would be enough for Flamengo to progress. I can't see them playing for that though.

In the last 16 Flamengo lost 2-1 in the first leg and won the second 1-0 at home, in the QF they drew 1-1 at Botafoga and then won the second leg at home 4-0, in the semis they won 2-1 away and then 2-1 at home against Goias

Does anyone know why Sao Paulo are odds on when they lost 3 - 1 at home to Ponte Preta last week?

Got to fancy Flamengo. Home advantage, a packed Maracana stadium and of course the game is much more important to them than it is to Atletico.

Usual South American football, unders the way to go?

I've decided not to go unders. It's the second leg of a cup final. An early goal could open things up

Flamengo need this to reach Copa Libertadores. Atletico dont

I'm not saying they won't want to win but it's more important to Flamengo because of the Copa Lib place for the winner. Atletico are quite likely to qualify through their league position so it's not a disaster if they don't win the cup.

Point is both teams will clearly be giving it their all, I don't think motivation plays any factor here.  Doesn't really matter if Flamengo have a little more on the line.

ponte preta 1-0 up at half-time and 4-1 on aggregate. three second half goals needed for sao paulo to take it to extra time. just had a nibble on over 3.5 because this game should get second half goals

if they played next goal wins, i think we'd still be here on saturday

Considering they need to score, i don't recall Atletico even testing the keeper.
