That's the wave we are riding at the moment. Piiss poor with so many negatives and we still nick a win.

Charlie Adam has hopefully played his last game and Alan Hutton's days are surely numbered.

Battled like fuuck though even if its a friendly. At least we've learned 2 in front of the back 4 is a must especially away from home.

Strachan knows what he's doing dosh. I;d rather win like that than go back to the days of glorious failure.

had a feeling scotland would grind out a 1-0 tonight but stupidly only put a fiver on it and then cashed out

No doubt. Strachan bar tonight has got us actually trying to control the ball and go forward and defend as a unit. The thing is the way the systems work we can't carry passengers. Charlie Adam swans around like he's Xavi and Hutton seems scared to play as a right back tucking inside far too much. Whittaker doesn't convince on the left so would of liked to see Wallace given his chance.

Anyway that's the best run for 6 years so have got to be optimistic.

I'd say don't get too carried away with that result, if you didn't watch it Norway were utterly dominant but couldn't score.

Not sure that had much to do with the Scottish defence, excellent result though. If you can nick games at international level when outclassed you have the beginnings of a project.

Never really rated Strachan as a manager but he's doing a grand job so far. As I've said before on here as much as we've had great results against the likes of France and Holland the last few years they were flukes in which we were battered and nicked the odd goal.

Under wee Gordon bar tonight he has them passing the ball and retaining possession whilst still keeping the defensive shape and trying to be creative. None of the other managers of recent years have put that belief into the players.

The only worry is that has all this worked because the pressure has been off? Hopefully not.

To be fair CJ70 that is as bad as we have played for a good while.

Strachan said he was trying something different, it didn't work yet we still won. It's just a shame we'll be in pot 4 for Euro 2016 but hopefully we'll get lucky with the draw.

Unlikely, once you get into the lower pots its very hard to get a draw to get you back in the better seeded pots. I say that as I follow Wales.

got lucky last night.
played a system that didn't work and still came away with a victory.

not sure you could single out individuals as being good or bad, as very few of them looked comfortable last night and norway would have won easily if they had taken half of their chances.

at least no harm done trying out different things in friendlies and far better to find out now what systems work and which ones don't work.

will still take lucky 1-0 victories in every qualifying match for the euros though.
