You mean ugly in the sense of attritional, negative football I take it?
I always think that games get ugly when there is enmity between the two countries - eg Spain/Portugal, Holland/Germany and, er, England v virtually anyone else.....(Argentina, Scotland, Germany etc). Greek-Romania political relations very cordial at the moment.
This game will have to go some to beat the Daddy of them all - Portugal v its former colony Angola. Link here is worth a read - match abandoned with Angola down to 6 men...:
