They were offering 7to4 over 46pts in bookings in man utd game today. The price changed to 4to7 late last night. Was available all day yesterday and my bet was referred to a trader for approval. Whilst my required stake was halved I got on nonetheless.. However I got an email at 522pm saying my bet had been placed at incorrect odds and I had the option to contact them before the end of the game to cancel or accept 4to7... At the time of the email there had already been 3 cards (30pts) and the bet was looking good! The game finished with 50 points and they refuse to settle on anything other than 4to7.. Anyone had this before or got any advice?

take them to IBAS and you will win - they haven't got a leg to stand on - their email is a total p!ss take, sending it 3/4 of the way into the game 24 hours after you have placed the bet

Just tell them everything you have written in your post

I've gone to IBAS twice on price changes and won both times

As toffee says, that is ludicrous, IBAS all the way

Standard practice. Will save them money on the mugs who just accept it.

Ive gone to ibas probably 10 times and they have never actually made a decision in my favour. Every time they have just caved and agreed to pay out when IBAS first contacted them. Always been lads or hills though.
Not 100% certain you will win if they make a ruling as it was a clear error. The fact that it went to a trader may help though.

surely 7/4 cut to 4/7 isn't a clear palp error ,

..and checked by a 'trader'.........

when they eventually realised their "error" they should then inform punters who took 7/4 immediately and not 24 hours later once the match is an hour old
In any other business it would almost be fraud

Thankfully managed to resolve this after quite a few calls and they have settled the bet at 7to4.. Thanks for advice.

just think of the amount of punters who do accept it

I remember many years ago when singles where unheard of on the footy and it was minimum 5 folds if you included a home win but you could do a double if one of the selections was a live TV game
I did a £30 double (incl a live game) which was going to return £100 ish

I went into Stanleys (remember them ?) to collect and the manager had a big grin on her face waiting for me as she couldn't wait to try and give me my £30 back thinking she had got one over me "sorry love the bets void as you have only made 2 selections"
"I think you may want to check your rules, and don't call me love"
Report akaBirdman November 13, 2013 9:56 PM GMT
SO the inference here being they waited to see of you were likely to win.....

shocking

I don't think IBAS will rule in your favour as it is clearly a palpable error. I'm sure you were aware that it was a palpable error when you struck the bet and if they have already halved you, they should do the honorable thing and pay for their error by paying you out but being ratbags they won't. I wish you well with your IBAS claim but would be very surprised if they rule anything other than the bet to be settled at 4/7.

they've paid him at 7/4

Yes it was a palpable error but im sure if they had told him an hour after the bet then he would have accepted it - to inform someone when the bet has almost weighed in is out of order
