When Peter Jackson was briefly our manager, I used to watch him more than the matches. Though that's not saying all that much given the nature of football on offer.

When I was a kid, most people couldn't even name the managers of most clubs.
People would know the obvious ones, like Clough, Revie or The Doc..... But wouldn't be able to name say the Villa manager or Chelsea or Spurs. Maybe it's because nowadays we have 24 hour Sky sports news and Talksport radio. They got nothing to talk about for hours or even days, because nothing is actually happening, so they talk sh1yte all day about the managers |

sometimes the managers do interesting things and its worth keeping an eye on them
jose waving at newcastle fans during the game for example its odd that tv companies choose to show managers when the ball is in play |

Tv companies think its part of the production these days. Anything that happens abroad is eventually copied over here. Germany presents its football pitchside , so ITV started doing it. Spain puts focus on managers so its the same here. Wont be long before they are interviewing players walking off the pitch at halftime like they do in France.
