Are they doing that again? Sad They did it for a period a couple of months ago.

Absolutely IDIOTIC thing to do and unacceptable for users...

I've seen matches that aren't even suspended. Merely the market is cleared of money and otherwise stays apparently open all the time. There must be plenty of punters caught out big time by this.

It means it's quite possible with slow odds updates to place a bet on e.g. 1-0 when its ALREADY 1-0 and the bet gets matched.

It's a truly stupid thing to do and a complete middle finger to the users.

I fear the current team at betfair don't even understand why it's such a bad thing to do as they are to busy messing about with crap site changes rather than thinking about "the user experience" or just using the damned site themselves...

Havent been here for a while, and if the above is correct it goes some way to explaining whats happened to this place, its dead, first thing I noticed was the site seems bloated and more difficult to use.

this problem is getting worse and worse. what the **** is clearing the market without suspending?
Report CJ70 • November 1, 2013 1:29 PM GMT
I'm not sure why it is only the more obscure markets this happens on. It's something to do with R-ball but I'm not sure why or how it only happens in obscure markets.

Clear without suspend very much out in force on the Azerbaijan premier game this morning.

You would think if they are at all on their game they'd have logs of when suspend when on and off and when bets were cleared.

Next time you guys see a very clear case, report it to site feedback saying the game and time it happened?

It's a serious issue. If you aren't watching the game (or are on a big delay) and think odds look tasty, and you put a bet on and it gets taken at wrong (or 1000/1) odds because a goal was scored with a 1 second suspend but the ODDS YOU CAN SEE DON'T REFLECT THIS, then Betfair have just screwed you over. The MINIMUM suspend for a goal should be the web odds update period + a margin for error. I think that's 30 seconds? So say 35 seconds.

It's quite obvious that this should be the case if you think about how the website works and the user interacts with it.

Is this still going on?

And they wonder why they are losing in-running punters.

If you place lots of bets in-running you will be court out by this eventually.

A few weeks back BF incorrectly voided a winning bet of mine because they claimed that they suspended the market 8 seconds late. The next day I got hoovered in a game because they did not suspend at all.

i have lost in this way on under big last year, you feel 100% robbed and the money go on betfair or at big shark bots
botfair should take a second view on this otherwise no one punter or trader will still on bf
